As other reviewers have experienced, I’ve also found this product to have longer-lasting moisturizing capabilities for dry skin than any other moisturizer with less or no Shea butter content, many of which cost way more. It’s a great value, but I’d recommend it even if it cost twice as much. I love that it’s fair trade. As someone who’s very sensitive to scents and can be sickened by synthetic perfumes, I appreciate the light, natural scent of the lavender, though even to my nose, the lavender scent is so light that I smell the ingredients over the lavender. I prefer that to an overwhelming scent. Great product I feel good about supporting.

With Covid-19 running rampant, I've been on the hunt for a really good brand that sells clean beauty products at an affordable price that'll last me for a while. When I came across Alaffia, I was super happy because their products are all natural, the pricing for the amount of product was affordable, and because of the work they do in Africa. But the lotion is ok. I really wanted to like it but its not as moisturizing/hydrating as I hope it would be. I have dry skin on legs and when I use it, I'm ashy within hour later. The scent is nice and relaxing but I'm not sure if it would be suitable for those with highly sensitive skin since there's lavender essential oil in it.

Great calming scent. Light. Best for use after bathing. Even my husband likes it. Best if used regularly for skin softening.

I love this lotion. The bottle keeps showing up broken and lotion leaking bcout all over. So, maybe buy in store.

I have been ordering this body lotion for at least 10 years and loved it. It felt nice going on and absorbed very quickly. As you can see the last order has different ingredients... feels very watery going on, like trying to rub wet skin! I knew it was different the first time I used it...should have checked the label sooner...I'll use it but won't order again.
