Awesome sim card for Italy and Switzerland
Great sim card that worked well almost everywhere I visitied in Switzerland and Italy. I used the sim card for a 2 week trip including locations in: munich, Zurich, les diablerets, interlaken area (murren, gimmelwald, grindelwald, etc.), milan, venice, florence, cinque terre, rome, naples, and palermo. Almost everywhere had constant 4G besides when going in tunnels in trains and some spotty service in cique terre areas. There was even 5G in switzerland. I used about 8 Gbs for 2 weeks with constant usage (emails, games, google, maps, apps) but no streaming videos. Easy set up - just put it in and make sure data roaming is on and your phone is unlocked. I tended to restart my phone whenever I entered a new country which I've been told can help signal quality. You get a phone number and can call/send and recieve texts which was useful for booking restuarant reservations. Great value and probably good for a 3 week trip anywhere it works in EU.

IT WORKS, but only if your phone is manufacturer UNLOCKED
AS OTHERS HAVE SAID - make SURE your phone is manufacture UNLOCKED. Hoping to avoid having to buy a sim card at the airport on arrival I ordered this in advance. Instructions were simple, and after reading reviews from other users it seemed easy enough. And it would have been if my "unlocked" phone had truly been unlocked. As in manufacturer unlocked vs. unlocked by my carrier when I got a new phone. This is a critical difference! After several attempts at the airport Orange kiosk, I checked in to my hotel and got the address of the nearest Orange store in Paris. Fortunately I also had my new mfr unlocked phone with me. The Orange rep told me that my "old" phone was not, in fact unlocked, and therefore the sim card wouldn't work. He asked if my new phone was unlocked, and if it had a dual sim. Yes, I purchased it unlocked before I switched carriers, but I didn't know it had dual sim. Thankfully he was more familiar with my phone than I was. He opened the phone and whadya know - dual sim slots! He inserted the Orange sim into the second slot, powered it up and voila! It worked like it said. I used it the entire trip (28 days) without issue, and was able to text and message via WhatsApp to friends and family at home. A few couldn't receive photos, but everyone got my texts. I did google searches in various places and got great reception pretty much everywhere. I also made calls in France and in the UK without any problems, and once we landed back in the states I simply went into settings and selected my local sim as the default instead of the Orange sim (which doesn't work outside the EU). I would definitely buy this again and was glad to have it.

Didn't work in Spain
Didn't work in Spain. Bought 2 cards before our trip but we should've waited til we got there. Very expensive also. Only work in France, the Orange Store guy said.

Terrific! But follow the directions!
I purchased the 100GB 28 day SIM a few months before my three week trip (which meant that the little SIM poker was shaped like the Eiffel Tower. Cool.). Coverage worked great in Northern Sardinia, the Milan area, and Frankfort, switching from network to network as needed. My coverage for talk, text, and data were nearly flawless. Internet rarely lagged. Following the directions—follow the directions one by one. Really—I exchanged SIMs when I got to my final destination: Northern Sardinia. I got excited and did not do the last step, and going back through the perfectly clear directions, found my mistake. Sardinia is a difficult place to rely on a single provider, and WiFi can be sketchy. Internet gigs provided by TIM are incredibly expensive. I had no difficulty anywhere I used this card, and it allowed me to stay off public WiFi that is so vulnerable to hackers. I used everything constantly: local phone calls and few back to the US; FaceTime locally and to the US and France; search, maps, travel apps, Libby library app, and as a personal hotspot for my laptop and for others. All worked well, with one exception—in a tunnel. I did not stream a whole lot, and after three solid weeks, 34 GB remain. While I could have purchased fewer GB, this was the best $64 I’ve spent in my years of travel primarily to mainland Italy and Sardinia. I could rely on staying connected and up to date. Downside: occasionally my searches turned up in French or Italian. That was it.

Worked great, see my comments for advice
I used this SIM card on a 12 day trip to southern Spain and Ireland. Here are some comments. About the service: - For reference, my phone is Android type. - Had very good service in the areas we were visiting. No complaints on service coverage. - Texting and phone calls worked seamlessly. I could not however, send photos or attachments via text. - I would suggest using a message service like WhatsApp to communicate with friends and family. Then you can send photos and talk as much as you want with the only limitation being your data limit. And of course, anything done on wifi won't count against your data. - 12G of data was plenty for a 2 week trip. I only used about 6G of data under moderately heavy use. About getting started: - The provided instructions are a bit confusing. I learned more from reading Amazon reviews. - Your phone MUST be the unlocked type to use this SIM service. Most major carriers lock your phone. Just another reason to get rid of your major carrier and buy your own unlocked phone. - Do not swap your SIM card until you get to Europe. Once you get to Europe, make sure your phone is turned off. Then swap your current SIM card with the new SIM card. You'll need to bring a pin to eject the old SIM (pin not provided with kit). Do the swap in a safe place, be very careful not to drop either SIM card. They are TINY! - Save your old SIM card in the pouch provided and do not lose it. You'll need to put it back in when you get home. - Turn phone back on. Once it's booted back up, go to settings > mobile network and turn mobile roaming on. In a minute or so you should have mobile service. - Under settings > mobile network you can select "data usage" anytime to check how much data you have used so far on your SIM card. - Orange will send you texts warning that you need to register. You can ignore this unless you plan on using the service for more than 14 days. I can't speak to the registration process because I did not do it. Overall, this SIM card worked great for me, I would definitely use it again next time I travel.

Service in 5 minutes. Excellent coverage in Italy and Switzerland.
Absolutely thrilled with the performance of this product. I swapped my sim card out at the airport in Italy and had service in just a few minutes. If you don't know how to do that, it's not a big deal. Just watch a video and make sure your phone is unlocked and can switch out sim cards. I had a few issues making calls and texts at first because I wasn't using the international phone number prefixes. Once I realized that, everything was smooth. Great data coverage made navigating the trip easy.

Great for short trips to Europe without a cellular International Plan!
I have a mobile hotspot, and picked up one of these Orange cards on Amazon before our European vacation. Our cell provider didn't have good "international plans" (or they require you to subscribe for a month and then remember to cancel in time, which you NEVER do.... even if you only need it for a couple weeks!). So this is the way to go. Wait til you reach your destination in Europe, fire up your hotspot, slide this baby in, and you are good to go. Put your phone on bluetooth and wifi only and turn off your cellular service and you're good to go., Both me and my husband shared a hotspot. The only thing that is bad is if you get separated, only the one of you carrying the hotspot will have cell coverage! But it beats looking for every wireless cafe around! You'll probably want to carry a charging block for your hotspot too. Anyway it was a VERY low cost way to be able to make calls and texts on our phones during our vacation, and we didn't come close to running out of data. Since our phones do not take a physical SIM, the hotspot was the way to go!

Didn't work in my Galaxy 24 ultra
I've used e-cards before and I'm familiar with the set up, but this card didn't work. I had internet which is helpful, but I was unable to make or receive calls or texts, so what is the use of having a phone?? I contacted their customer service, while the tech was friendly, she was useless and couldn't resolve the problem. I haven't heard from them since, after repeated attempts. I would NOT! Recommend orange data cards, I had much better luck with another brand, but they weren't available for France, which is where i was visiting. Recap : i was walking through Amboise France and came across an Orange shop, the girl inside was very kind and helpful, she helped me with my phone and now I'm able to make calls from my phone in the EU. But no messages. Thats better, but not exactly what I was looking for in a Sim card. Be careful with your selection of these cards, it's still useful and much cheaper than my phone providers overseas plan ( Verizon) ...
