Don't buy
Disappointed! You need to enter a code for the relative food from the "dictionary" type manual that you recieve to get any information or statistics. Returning

Poor seller communication and product not delivered
The first time I bought this product it worked great but the glass top is fragile so broke easily. When I bought a second scales it never arrived. I contacted the seller several times for a refund and they have never responded. I won’t be using this seller again.

Fantastic Tool for T1D Families This scale has been a fantastic investment for our family as we navigate life with Type 1 Diabetes. It’s especially helpful when you’re still learning how to count carbs. The built-in nutrition scale provides clear breakdowns of common foods, and the included code book is simple and easy to follow. Highly recommend for any family looking to make carb counting more accurate and less stressful.

Likes: Number one for me is that I LOVE the display since it mirrors the label format that is on packaged foods. The code book and instructions are online if you lose your book. Online support. Easy to learn to use. Accurate. Attractive. I store mine in a plastic IKEA magazine holder when not in use. No seams on the glass anywhere so that germs won't lurk. Easily wiped off but not waterproof--I feel this is unnecessary barring big accidents with liquids. "Okays" and limitations: Can't use decimals for nutrient values. You must round up or down or double the weight in order to get whole numbers. I figure this compromise on accuracy makes no difference. Shuts off automatically to save the batteries. No micronutrients are listed, if you need that. You need to track your food codes manually by writing them down. It would be great if the app allowed you to save your codes! I wish it had a USB charger vs batteries. It is very accurate. I checked it with items of known weight. You can put your container on the scale before turning it on and it will automatically zero (deduct the weight of the container). I like the feature that allows you to add food codes of frequently eaten items. I wish there were more than 99 custom codes though I honestly don't know that I need to save that many. No barcode scanning. The code book is pretty limited....some regular foods like a fresh apple are not listed. Go figure. But never fear, there is an app you can download that seems to have many more codes "Perfect Portions." You can Favorite your frequently used foods in the app. I use a tracking app called CarbManager where I can scan actual bar codes for packaged food. These can be put in the scale as a Custom Code once you have the data. I look up fresh food data on a reputable online database so I have more choices than what is included in the Perfect Portion app. This scale helps me to accurately assemble a recipe and know what nutrients are in it. Further, I can determine a what a serving size is by figuring the carbs (in my case) per gram and adjust accordingly--I then change the serving size in my custom CarbManager recipe so I know how much I can consume without going over my limits. You can add serial foods to a container to make up a dish with several ingredients and it calculates individual and total nutrients. You can save nutrients for the whole day by using the same function. The manual gives very clear instructions for this and you can contact support online too. Overall, with a little ingenuity and good tracking (either with an app or manual) this scale can help you to conveniently form an very accurate picture of your nutrients to manage carbs, calories, and other macronutrients. Though it's impossible to find a scale or app to do it all, this scale is awesome for the price, is easy to use, has a great warranty and good support. Excellent accuracy, max 10 lbs.

les codes pour la balance sont en anglais donc pas très pratique pour faire la recherche, on perd un temps fou. Au bout d'une semaine d'utilisation j'ai arrêté à cause de cela.
