Excellent Carplay solution
As an avid motorcyclist, I typically mount my phone on the handlebars. However, this innovative device allows me to securely store my phone in my jacket pocket while fully utilising Apple CarPlay functionality.Initially, I encountered some operational challenges with my Africa Twin motorcycle. The device did not seem to function as expected. Upon further investigation, I realised that the Africa Twin’s warning screen necessitates interaction with the touch button to proceed. If not acknowledged, the dongle activates and circumvents this screen, making certain driving features inaccessible. Since consistently engaging with the prompt, the device has performed flawlessly. The device’s design allows connection to an extension cable, offering versatile placement options on the motorcycle. Since resolving the initial issue, it has operated without fault. For owners of the NT1100 or Africa Twin, this device offers an excellent wireless solution for integrating Apple CarPlay into your riding experience.

Compact little device
What a perfect bit of kit. I liked the plug and play ability and how it just connects to your phone, the device comes with a double sided sticky pad allowing it to be tucked away out of sight.Once connected the performance is second to none with no freezes or stutters.

Totally unreliable
This is the second one I have purchased and returned. They were from different sellers and also different shaped units but the little instruction leaflet for both of them was identical suggesting that they come from the same Chinese manufacturer. This one was similar in performance to the previous one. Bluetooth and WiFi connected well initially but reconnection after a few days took longer. After a week or so the phone had to be set to Forget this Device in Bluetooth, switched totally OFF and rebooted and the unit unplugged and plugged back in. Connection by Bluetooth might happen in a few minutes or after a much longer time or not at all, meaning the whole process had to be started again. The whole point of this device is to save you having to take your phone out of your pocket and plug it in with a cable so it became more of a frustration than a help to use it. After a couple of weeks it simply would not connect by Bluetooth at all. Following the instructions and upgrading the software made no difference. If and when it works it is good. I see some people seem to be pleased with this unit so wonder what the difference between them and myself may be. Are they using the same model iPhone and what car are they using the unit in. My combination is iPhone 15Pro and 2021 Mitsubishi which is listed as a compatible car.

This works well, once you understand it
Having been used to wireless car play in my previous lease car, I bought this to go in my new car that was only wired. It was easy to setup and seemed to work, but then I started having issues with the loading screen taking over the display in my car. I soon worked out that the linked phone needs to be with you if the adapter is connected to the car, or the adapter will endlessly search for it and cause the behaviour above. Removing the adapter from the cars USB port in the rare occasion that you are in the car without your phone.I think that having 2 phones linked and in the car at the same time also seems to upset it but I haven’t bottomed this out yet. With one linked phone, in the car with you, this adapter is actually more stable than the wireless CarPlay built into my old Seat Leon MK4

Works great in both our cars
I was sceptical when I bought it as it is cheap compared to some of the others available, however I was pleasantly surprised as it works perfectly. If it is plugged in when you start the car it comes on probably within 30 seconds. However if you unplug it while the car is on and plug it in again you get a black screen with something like BT Console...... appear for a minute or so, but then it comes on fine (it might just be my car, but the easy answer is to leave it plugged in all the time). It is also nice and small and fits very neatly in the car so you hardly notice it,Overall I am glad I bought this rather than the more expensive options as it does exactly what I need it to.

Great for purpose
I was getting fed up with my Apple CarPlay disconnecting all the time, especially when I needed to use the Map App whilst driving (not sure if fault with car or the cables I was using).I decided to purchase this item and what a difference.Easy to install and hasn’t let me down yet. A few glitches here and there with screen not turning on car navigation screen but always manage to get it working (probably happened 1 out of 10 times). It take about a second or two to activate CarPlay but it does it automatically so don’t have to mess around with. Can also charge my phone in the charging socket at the same time.I would recommend.

Exceeded expectations
I was a little dubious that this would work but it connects really well 90% of the time and when it doesn't it is usually because I have been using my phone just before and so I think the fault lies at the phone end rather than this device. If you are going on a long journey it is easy to connect your phone by a cable to the car for satnav, but you don't normally bother with short routes you know well. This device gives you satnav (Waze in my case) every time you start the car which includes warnings for unexpected traffic jams, police speed cameras etc. It has certainly saved me some time and kept me out of trouble. A permanent connection also enables the car to read out messages while you drive and all the other advantages of apple car play.
