Excellent Product - Works and Blocks Unwanted Calls.
This is an excellent product. I bought the V5000, which is the newest model and I think more compatible with US-based telephones. We have an older Panasonic Dect 6.0 Plus which works fine, except it could only block 30 numbers - clearly not enough in 2018. Telemarketers are getting very creative in "spoofing" numbers. We would answer calls which appeared to be local, but were actually political, solicitations for charities, bogus "free" offers, etc. A robo call using the name "Elizabeth" kept on coming through almost every day on different numbers. It got very annoying. My first choice was to purchase a new Panasonic phone that blocked 250 numbers. I thought that should be enough. However, it was hard to program and defective, so I returned itI finally decided to get this call blocker based on the reviews and that it had 5,000 programed blocked numbers and an additional 1,500 user numbers that could be blocked. I doubt we'll ever need that many, but nice to have. The user manual was very easy to understand. I hooked it up in series and have had no problems. We've only used it 4 days and blocked 3 numbers. However, the constant ringing has stopped - wow, peace and quiet. It appears to not ring on the pre-programmed numbers, but will ring once on user blocked numbers due to the way U.S. caller ID works. I haven't tried to block certain area codes yet. The only thing I could quibble about is the short length of the supplied cords. I have plenty of longer cords, so I used one of them instead.All-in-all it's worth the $100. Highly recommended. I would give it 10 stars if I could!

Doesn't work with newer modem
I bought this call clocker March 2018 but when it arrived, I was given an upgraded model (v5000) in error (?). Hook up was easy and it worked GREAT up until about 6 weeks ago. I had an older modem that conked out and had to be replaced with the newest technology modem. I didn't notice any issues with my blocker or phone until this week but the problem was there for a while and I wasn't aware of it. I was out and tried to call home from my cell phone. I kept getting a message (generated from my phone carrier) stating that the people at this number are not accepting calls at this time. I called the carrier when I got home. They rebooted the modem. Problem fixed until the next day. Same issue happened after receiving a few calls. Called the carrier and they rebooted again. Worked ok for a few call, then disabled again. Third day...same issue so I set up appointment for carrier to send a technician. I neve told them that I had a call blocker attached to the phone.....so, I analyzed the situation (internet and cable tv were ok)β¦.difference was call blocker....so I unhooked call blocker completely...and now the phone is OK.....modem was attached to a splitter; call blocker was hooked to the splitter and connected to the phone...splitter connected to the phone jack on wall.....calls were going through the splitter then through the call blocker and getting cut off before going to the phone. I would not recommend this blocker now but it did work great with the old modem.

Complicated to use, non-compatible, etc...
I found it complicated to use and had to refer to instructions every time I needed to block the number. I also thought I could mount it on the wall next to my phone but had to use command strips instead. Problem with it & reason I had to return it was because it's not compatible with Frontier/Vantage. Nobody could leave a vm on my phone, instead vm's would go directly to Frontier Vantage voicemail no matter how I installed it. And I hate the FV th system, if I'm home, I like to hear the message being left in case I need/want to pick up the call. Total bummer!!!! Hence the 3 Stars.

It did what I wanted it to do!!
This blocker cut our nuisance phone calls way down; we still get calls that we need to push the button on, but I enjoy the feeling that there is at least something I can do about shutting them up. The connection cord could have been a little longer for wall mounted phones. Good product, works well, more peace!

I guess it is blocking some calls
I have the CPR 5000 model. This model came with 5,000 nuisance numbers already loaded which will be automatically blocked. However, this unit does not block all marketing calls. I have used the 'Block Now' button to add other numbers that I needed block. As best as I can tell, those numbers are not calling back. Nevertheless, most days I receive 1 to 3 calls from unknown sources. I block those numbers as well. It is a continuous battle. I guess it is blocking most nuisance calls.

It works great
This machine keep me from changing my phone number, I was getting calls from a robo-calling devise 8 x daily. After I purchased the V2000 C B and programed the number into it they keep calling however the V2000 only allowed 1 ring only and immediately blocked it. After several months of documentation of 98 calls, I no longer received them. It works. The state I reside in the phone companies donβt really care to help. They probably sell them there customers data for profits.

Call Blocker
This unit does exactly what its supposed to do and has cut unwanted calls by at least 90 % the trick is to answer the call once and when identified as a call you do not want to receive again just press the red button...if it says successful on the monitor you will not receive the call gain . In addition to the pre programed numbers it has installed , my unit has now stopped 75 additional calls..great call blocker.

Works Well But Could Be Better
Works pretty well but has a couple of issues:The V2000 requires the caller ID function to be enabled by your telephone service provider. Previously this was an add-on service which cost Β£1/month - so quite expensive. However UK gov have recently legislated that all service providers must offer this 'for free' from Oct 2018 (so they've all stuck up their line rental charges by Β£1 instead). So I expect alot more people will be buying call blockers now CallerID is supplied as standard. After enabling callerID I installed my V2000 but it didn't work when I connected it thru my ADSL filter (the V2000 just went blank when a call came in as if it wasn't getting enough power). The CPR tech support said i'd need to get a new ADSL filter due to an issue with old filters not passing power. I ordered one from the CPR store for Β£5 which arrived the next day. After fitting this the V2000 started to work correctly. (Although I needed to reboot my ADSL modem to work via the new filter). Now everything seems to work fine as advertised. The UI has two arrow buttons which bring up either a Call List of the N most recent calls, or a Block List of the numbers or classes of numbers which are currently being blocked. To copy a number from the Call List to the Block List just hit the big red button. To remove a number from either list just hit the delete button. Nice and simple. When a blocked number calls, the V2000 just hangs up without your phone ringing. The blocked call gets added to the Call List but there is no visible indication that a call has been blocked other than the new entry in the Call List. It would have been nice if a 'blocked' flag appeared in the Call List next to calls which have been blocked - so you could have the satisfaction of knowing how many nuisance calls your V2000 had saved you from. Apart from that minor complaint - it performs well.

Brilliant device
This unit is well designed, simple to install and very user friendly, I have only had the unit for a few days and am experiencing a more peaceful existence from those annoying unwanted phone calls. I would recommend this call blocker to anyone wanting to stop the unwanted intrusions.

Excellent! Comes with a sense of 'getting your own back'!!
An excellent product. My parents were plagued by call centre and scam calls daily to the point where my Mum was becoming depressed. Registered them with the Telephone Preference Service which only helped to a small extent but could not convince them to stop answering the phone so bought the the Call Blocker. They love it! So easy to use and it comes with a sense of 'getting your own back' when pressing the red button. Calls greatly reduced and they are much happier.

Unwanted emails blocked almost completly
We were very bothered by a regular raft of nuisance telephone calls quite regulary daily but ever since putting the Blocker V2000 on line, it is very effective in doing its job. We have only had onecall which was zapped by pressing #2 on the phone as adviced and it has not appeared again. Our phone connection is arcahic and had to get the unit two adapters to connect them together.Cannot fault the machine.
