Soccer Goalie Shirt, Padded Goalkeeper Jersey, Youth and Adult Sizes

Ordered the youth small, which is the typical size for my son. The sleeves were significantly too long and baggy, and so was the neck.

The shirt is a basic goalie shirt, nothing too exctraordinary about it. The padding on the chest and arms is really thin but something is better than nothing. We're using it for a youth team and are hoping it will convince them that they're much more invincible when they put on their "armored" shirt. The material is slick, stretchy, looks like it's good quality and will hold up well. Elastic cuffs help keep sleeves in place and not sliding in the way of their hands. The thing we were most disappointed in was the color we received was nothing like the image online. We ordered a bright vibrant blue and received a light blue/periwinkle. We'll still use it but had I known that ahead of time I definitely wouldn't have ordered the blue one.

My daughter loves the color of this goalie jersey and the padding in the chest! Youth Large is great for her (usually in a 7/8) since she needs to pull this over her team jersey. She's excited for her upcoming outdoor season. The jersey is thin but seems like it will hold up for game play at the U9 level. I wish there was an option to add her number to the back but I'll be going to a local shop to add that before her season starts. She's pleased with the jersey. The price was right and it arrived in time.

Shirt is really nice BUT the sizing is very odd. Our son is 10 years old and wears a Youth Medium. We had to return it because the sleeves were abnormally long (about 4 inches too long) but the rest of the shirt fit correctly. So then my husband thought maybe a Youth Small would fit so he ordered that one and again the sleeves were still too long but the chest was too tight. This sizing is cut wrong. Have to return this one too. The seller was helpful both times. Wish this shirt would have worked out.

So this worked for my Goalkeeper, but my player is 8 years old and very petite / thin. The arms are very baggy, not as much the length (they are a little long, but with goalie gloves it won't matter) but actually the width of the arms especially in relation to the body section. That was "almost" too tight and confirms what others said about the sizing being a bit odd. I would only be concerned if your child is not thin - and I mean ribs, muscles show with shirt off thin. The material itself is very thin which is okay since it's often worn over the game jersey. The padding is adequate and perfectly placed in the arms. I liked the fact that the chest was padded, but it's really more sternum to midsection, but I could tell he felt it would provide some added protection, resulting in confidence.

We love the shirt. Ended up ordering smaller ones for both of my kids. They were way too big. My son is 7 and wears a youth large normally. But he was swimming in it. So we ordered a small. My 11yo normally wears a women's xs or s. She was swimming in the womens small and the youth large was even too big. Ordered her a youth medium. We will see how those fit. :) just give yourself plenty of time to reorder in case they don't fit.

Very cool goal shirt for a youth goalie. Thin padding on the stomach area as well as the elbows. Color is great, my son loves it. Shipped and arrived quickly, and as advertised. Sizing: runs slightly small - my son is between a Youth Small and Medium. I went with the Small and it fits, but won't for long. He's going to need a new one for next year's season, but that was probably going to be the case anyway.

11 yr old son started playing goalie this season, and picked this up to look the part.Good fit for his age/size. Nice padding on chest for hard shots and elbows for diving on the ground. Has held up well to hard play and washing. Washes well on delicate - stains come out and no shrinking/damage/etc.He is glad he has it and enjoys playing in it.
