Love this thermometer.
I use this to monitor the inside temp of my camper. The thermometer never needs a battery change since it recharges from a built in solar cell that works even with normal interior light levels. Mine has functioned flawlessly for more than a year. It was a little confusing to get it setup but once I succeeded I was very pleased. I highly recommend this device.

Worked for a few hours
Update: it’s not the battery being a problem, at least not how I initially thought. The sensor now just responds whenever it wants. I ordered a standalone sensor and it’s stayed connected for a couple days now with no issues.Original Review:Setup seemed easy enough. Even had a firmware update that installed quickly. It worked fine for a couple hours, now no response in HomeKit or the Meross app. Tried unplugging and restarting…no change. This thing is supposed to have a battery to run at night, right? It’s only 20’ away from the hub.

Excellent Temp and Humidity Sensor with Data History
My first Meross product was a major winner, so I was very eager to get my hands on this temp sensor/thermometer combination. I use a Nest unit to control my home HVAC, but the temperature in one room in particular is always too cold or too hot. I wanted to have an accurate history of the fluctuations so that I could address the reasons and make a before/after comparison. This unit allows me to track the fluctuations easily and accurately. The unit is small, and I have it placed near a window in order to take advantage of the solar charging feature (works well!). The unit itself is set-and-forget easy, so the value is provided by the software and the information gleaned by it. Unfortunately, you can't pair this with Nest to take advantage of heating/cooling functions. That would be an integration that I would absolutely love. However, I can still perform other automation (like turn on outlets or fans) based on the readings from the sensor.Overall, I am very impressed with the quality of the sensor and will continue to pursue research to maximize the capabilities it offers.

Works good
Setup was annoying. It kept connecting to the Apple Home app but not the Meross app. It eventually worked after I just left the app only for several minutes after the confirmation for HomeKit connection. I had an issue with WiFi connection during setup that was annoying but I switched networks since my Xfinity router wouldn’t connect to this. I ended up connecting it to my WiFi extender instead. The sensors work great and give accurate temperature readings. I had a hard time getting the automations to work at first but they randomly started working after I gave up. My only complaint would be that they don’t update readings frequently enough. It’s like 30 minutes to an hour between updates and it doesn’t appear to be a way to force it to refresh.

Less to be desired
I liked the idea of a solar temp humidity reader, but I’ll now opt for a 2-5 year battery life monitor with a digital reader and a better app experience. This was at one time made to work with Apple home but the thread didn’t work all too well and the solar function is very touchy. No readings on a cloudy day or in the shade.

Excellent product !!!
Got this Meross sensor few weeks ago as I was bit skeptical with the temperatures in different rooms, specially right now, in winter. Thought of giving a shot to measure the difference in various rooms. I do have only one sensor at this time but planning to get another one.First of all, setup was pretty straight forward. Adding the device into the Meross app was a failure with my iPhone (same thing happened with Fan/Light Smart switch), but I was able to configure it through an Android device within a minute. Even pairing with HUB and the sensor is very straightforward.Started measuring the temperature where my thermostat is and both of them were showing same temperature. Measured the temp where one of room always stays cold and I could see a difference of almost 3 degrees (not sure what to do about that though). So far the app is recording and showing accurate data w.r.t. the timeline.Interface in the Meross app is pretty cool, it does provides a trend/average on daily/weekly/monthly/yearly basis, so far the data does aligns with the temperature setting I have set up. Also, provides accurate monitoring when away from home.Charging on the sensor is awesome. Haven't seen the Sun since last 9 days, but with very little light it's able to charge the battery.Overall, I love it and now need to find out how to integrate this with some other smart device and get some automation out of it.

Avoid. Works at first but dies soon after.
Hub connects and is visible to app and HomeKit. But the remote outdoor temperature sensor disconnected after a few weeks and will not reconnect. Outdoor sensor is attached to house in the shade with included sticky tape so not easily removed or reinstalled.

Absolutely unequivocally does NOT work with Alexa routines
Let no one tell you otherwise. All you can do with Alexa is ask for the temperature. This device will not show in Alexa routines smart devices list (or any other trigger choice) when creating a routine that would be temperature triggered.Asked before buying, those that replied claimed it is routine triggerable. If you cannot answer a question knowledgeably & definitively, please don't reply to product questions, your just wasting the posters time.I'll say it was relatively simple to connect the hub & the temp sensor, and I do like the solar charge function, but it's still useless as a iot device unless you only like in meross ecosystem to trigger meross devices using meross app. There is no way to trigger anything outside its ecosystem. Also, the USB mini cord is laughably short between the power adapter & hub.It might be a good device within its ecosystem, but outside of that, it simply exists.
