Delicious tea
I'm a big fan of trying new tea, and have heard about yerba maté on the health grapevine so thought I'd give it a try. I bought the 1 kilo bag - there's SO MUCH!!!! What great value!! I decanted half the bag into a container. The tea itself as you can see from the photos is mostly.powder with some stalks, so, very similar to matcha powdered tea, so I treated it as such. I don't have the tradition gourds or drinking straws for this tea, so I used my little Japanese teapot that has an internal filter. I used one heaped teaspoon for my little teapot, and that's enough for a deep flavoursome cup and a half of this tea.The flavour- The flavour of this tea is similar to matcha, but personally I would say it's not as bitter. It has a more gentle, mellow taste that's almost like it's sweet. The colour is the same as matcha.With a normal strainer, there is very little residue left in a finished cup.This is a lovely, very good value, satisfying tea and I'm now in love with yerba maté!

Amazing for a chimarrão!
Delicious mate herb, is the same one I use to drink at home back in Brazil, amazing for a chimarrão, for those who like bitter drinks.

Full of green dust
Regret buying it. It is full of green dust. Not sure if this is a 'bottom of a bag' remainings or I was just unlucky. Won't be buying this again.
