Great product
If your looking for a durable yet efficient, non-bulky, cost-efficient, glasses retainer, than this product is for you. Our 4 year old son is special needs and is fairly rough on glasses. Due to his small head size, the cloth or mixed material retainers(even those recommended for kids) were super bulky and make his ears almost fold down because of how thick the ear pieces were after it was on his head. The pilotfish secures directly at the end of the ear pieces so they are no where near sitting on the top of his ears. Once the fastener is slid across the cable, the wiring secures snuggly behind his head without stretching directly around his head causing discomfort throughout the day. These are perfect for when he's out playing or at school and too busy to have his glasses realigned on his face.

Nothing but…
This is my third sunglass retainer from this company. I love the no dangling tail. I love the adjustable wire option. The colors available are diverse. The seems like a more secure option than just rubber. I favor high-end shades and wanna keep them. It’s easy to get caught up in water play & not noticing if your shades are there. I’ve lost good shades to broken or cracked rubber on bike rides or with general use. Pilotfish gives me piece of mind. I trust nothing else to my shades.

Keeps Glasses from Sliding on Low-Bridge Nose, But…
Wire backing and settings tabs get caught in 9y/o nephew’s thick curls every.single.time. My nephew passed up every low-bridge style of glasses at W*rby, and insisted on a pair that, despite being narrow and small, STILL slide down his nose! I found these pilot fish kids holders and they keep his glasses propped up!PROS: they keep glasses from sliding down;the temple tip connectors do not touch, or get anywhere near his ears, I was worried about irritation; the temple tips stay on the end of his glasses and don’t budge throughout his school day;the color is cute;the wire back is unnoticeable;these fit a tall 9y/o head with thick, curly hair best on the tightest setting;even on a looser setting, between the friction of the temple tips and the balance of the wire, these keep his glasses from sliding down his nose.CONS: the two beaded sliders get stuck on the wire and are difficult to move for an adult, and near-impossible for a kid, especially while wearing, so he keeps his glasses on all day;the wire and sliders get stuck in his hair, my nephew loves that they work, but refuses to use them for anything but school because of this.I’ll need to find a setting allowing him to push his glasses up when he needs a break. I would recommend, but may need a more user-friendly option due to reasons above.EDIT2 stars off. After another tangling and painful de-tangling trying to get the pilot fish off, he refuses to wear them again. This coupled with the difficulty adjusting the sliding tabs makes these a no-go. Back to W*rby to get a low-bridge pair of glasses.Pics are measurements of pilot fish sliders at longest and shortest settings.

They work OK but will break after a few months.
I just purchased my 4th one. I like the short length and they work well until they break. And they will break. It is for the short length that I continue to buy them. The flaw is that the movement to adjust is hard to pull when you extend or shorten the cable. The hard movement pulls on the piece on the end of each temple and eventually weakens it and the cable pulls out. I also have some Costa brand and they have never broken but the cable is longer so I use them on different sunglasses. (Boat vs car). In the car I like short cable that does not make contact with the headrest. I bought a pair of the Pilot for my grandson over a year ago and they broke in a couple months. I replaced them with Costa and they are still fine. If you have had Costa brand you will know how easily the cables glides when adjusting. The Pilot adjustment takes too much to pull the cable causing strain and breakage. If they could fix that problem the Pilot would be superior. I am sure they would say the breakage is normal wear and tear and deny a warranty claim so I have not attempted a claim on their lifetime warranty.
