Affordable Powerhouse - Buy it!
Read and watched a lot of reviews of this MSI Prestige and glad I took the plunge. Gorgeous OLED screen giving my tired eyes a lot of extra real estate and fine resolution that my 2021 model HP Envy x360 wasn't able to provide. Oh, the MSI is about a pound and a half lighter, too, just 3.3 pounds. I wanted to address some of the cons that other reviewers have noted. 1) The ports are mostly located on the back - I find it's easier to use this way, and makes for a neater work space, but if it's on your lap and you stick in a thumb drive you'll need to be careful not to whack it...just common sense. The Windows 11 Pro setup took about 45 minutes for the updates, not a big deal. BTW, having the pro version means you can lock the laptop down much better against all the built-in windows surveillance. Performance is snappy great. The SSD included with this is a high-end Phison 2TB, fast and sips power. (according to specs) Some folks thought this newer version of the 16 AI has more chassis flex, but I can't detect it. The alloy chassis is firm and light. Keyboard action has a great feel, not too firm, not mush. It only has one cooling fan, unlike my old HP. Was concerned that this might be a problem. Nope, cool and quiet for most tasks while the fan occasionally spooled up under disk-intensive tasks, but it was never loud and never overly warm. Can't speak to the gaming capability, as I'm not a gamer. But in closing this MSI is a real winner, thin, light, lots of ports, does everything I need.

Excellent laptop for a good price, but there are a few cons.
As the title says, this is an excellent laptop, but there are a few cons. My last few laptops have been 13"-14" for portability, schoolwork, etc. I am no longer in school, and I regularly do a lot of productivity work such as excel on my laptop. I wanted a laptop that was a bit more powerful with a much bigger display. I will list the major pros and cons here, with a more detailed review below: PROS: Display Battery Life Keyboard Performance I/O Ports Design/Thin/Weight Build Quality 16" screen, but still portable CONS: 60hz Refresh Rate Trackpad I bought this laptop a few months ago and I’m very happy with it. This laptop runs Windows 11 smoothly and handles all the tasks I need it to do, including browsing the web, editing photos and videos, and productivity work such as large excel files. It has a sleek design, a bright and colorful display. I only have one negative thing to say about the display and that is the 60hz refresh rate. I assumed the display refresh rate was 120hz, as every single one of the other 15 laptops on my list were at least 120hz or higher. That was very disappointing. The refresh rate was not listed anywhere unlike most other laptops.... now I know why. Very irritating, but far from a deal breaker because the rest of the laptop is so nice. The keyboard is comfortable with soft keys and a good typing experience. The keyboard also includes a number pad to the right. There is no flex AT ALL on the keyboard, as it is extremely sturdy and well built. The trackpad is extra-large and responsive, but it is off center to the left, which I hate. There is not enough room for my left hand to the left of the trackpad while typing, but I have large hands so this will not be an issue for everyone. The battery life is also impressive, but it certainly is not ground-breaking. The battery life of this laptop should not be compared to a 13"-14" laptop. However, the battery life will be much better from previous models due to the new intel core ultra processors. The speakers are loud and clear, and the webcam is decent for video calls. One of the biggest selling points is that this laptop has plenty of ports, including 1x USB-A, 2x Thunderbolt 4 USB-C, 1x HDMI, 1x full size SD card reader, and a headphone jack. The laptop can get a bit warm and noisy under heavy load, but it’s not a deal-breaker for me. Like I said before, it is still a significant improvement from the previous generation of intel processors. For being a 16" powerful laptop, it is EXTREMELY thin, lightweight, and portable. It feels extremely sturdy as well. Overall, this is a great laptop for anyone looking for a portable and powerful device that won’t break the bank. I highly recommend it.

Beautiful but missing MSI docking station promotion
I'm very pleased with the laptop overall. It could have used at least one more USB-A port so I'm going to have to invest in USB hub or docking station. After receiving the laptop I discovered that if I had ordered it from MSI directly I would have gotten a free MSI 2nd gen Docking Station for the same price as Amazon's. It would be nice if Amazon would retroactively match the MSI store's free docking station promotion.

Limited use for Photography
Overall, this laptop is okay, but there are a few issues. It only has one USB port, which is limiting—especially for me as a photographer. I need multiple ports to transfer photos from both my phone and camera, so I ended up needing extra adapters. That was my oversight when purchasing. Another issue is that the laptop doesn’t recognize my camera directly, so I have to remove the memory card and use an external card reader. Transferring photos over Wi-Fi is also frustratingly slow, but necessary due to the lack of proper ports. I also bought Photoshop before it moved to a subscription model, but it's basically unusable on this laptop. The screen resolution can't be adjusted to properly run the program, and even viewing image thumbnails is difficult, even when set to large icons. In short, while the laptop works fine for general use, it’s not well-suited for photography or creative work.

The build quality is quite good with quality components puzzling why manufacture the refresh at 60hz you will need a secondary monitor if you are doing anything other than standard computing. Disappointing for a 2k+ computer with taxes.
