Beautiful Mermaid, good overall value
At the regular retail price, this mermaid is quite a catch! She has uniquely colored hair of good quality (note that on the one I received, it was not evenly cut; I trimmed it a bit), and though I know everyone is sick of this head mold, I think this is a nice use of it. As a collector, I find that her screening is very pixelated, and that the yellowish treatment on the fin portion of her tail is very sticky (edit: this issue has been fixed). It’s only sticky on the front where the yellow paint is. I switched her head to a playline Made to Move body, and it’s worth noting that the head from her new body was not the best match for her original body. When I took a closer look, the doll’s head is lighter than her body. Not unforgivably so, but worth noting. Overall excellent for the price point. I love the design of the permanent top on this body. Good purchase. Edit: I purchased two more December 2024 and the fin paint is no longer sticky. I updated my rating from 4 to 5 stars.

Barbie brand mermaids
I love the fact that the clothing can not come off. My six yr old daughter loves these mermaids by Mattel and I even got the merman so that one of her merladies can have a husband. They are well played in and out of water the colors have not yet faded.

Hair color is different in person
She is a very pretty doll and does have lovely, soft hair. However her hair is not lime green like the picture shows, but is actually a light teal blue. So for that I gave her 4 stars. But still giftable and any child would love to play with her.
