CosplayDiy Men's Suit for RWBY Qrow Branwen Cosplay

Bought this cosplay a couple years ago and have already worn it to two cons (gonna be three come a few weeks from now). It looks really good, would have given it 5 stars but I did have to make some modifications to it. The sleeves were too long so I had a friend hem them up for me and the weathering on the cape looks unnatural so I took some scissors to it to give it a more natural look. The collar was also sticking up on one side, but that could have been something that happened due to shipping. Wasn't a huge deal, just needed to be ironed. For the price, it's a great looking cosplay!I wouldn't recommend getting the pants though. They're super baggy and they don't have pockets (yikes). I just went to JCPenny and bought some slim fitting slacks that looked MUCH better and had pockets, which is essential when you're walking around a con all day carrying a 7 pound prop sword. If you don't have money for slacks though, some black skinny jeans will also work if you're budgeting.Another note, I'm a skinny guy (6' and around 150 pounds) and this cosplay shows hip if I don't wear anything underneath. It's also VERY low cut (I wore a deep V-neck underneath it the first time I wore it and this thing was actually cut lower than the V-neck), so just keep that in mind if you're self-conscious about skin showing.

So this was a decently built cosplay. But if you did what I did an went off the size of the clothes you normally purchase like shirts and pants. You would probably find that they don’t fit. I myself wear a large in almost everything. Being 5’ 10.5” tall and 225lbs the problem wasn’t so much the lower half as it was my chest, shoulders and upper arms. So please if you are buying this Check your personal size first and then the size chart to find the best match.The only other down sides to this cosplay is that the pockets in the jacket at fake. (easy fix if you want them.) also the pants felt really cheap and had no pockets on them as well. If you are looking to do a nice qrow cosplay, this will work but maybe get a pair of black dress slacks so you can carry your phone and other personal items.

I ordered this costume for an upcoming convention I’m attending. The shipping time was impeccable! I wasn’t expecting it for another 2 weeks based on what the listing said so that was a nice surprise. I ordered a Men’s Large. I’m a female that’s 5’1” and about 184 pounds with a D cup size and it fit perfect. I’m actually surprised it’s men’s sizing based on the fit. My only complaint is that the lining in the sleeves made them to small. But I ripped it out and that fit fine.

My son likes how it fits him. According to the size chart he thought it would be a bit tight, but was a bit roomy in the chest area. Pants were just right. The cape loops are a bit too large and slip off a few of the buttons easily. Two buttons came off when he wore the costume to a Comiccon. Make sure buttons are securely fastened before wearing. Did tighten the cape loops before he wore it. Did not think to check all the buttons.

My only complaints against this are the photo made me think I got the whole suit, didn't get pants. But the suit is okay quality. The buttons are not good since one fell off during the event I needed it for. And the pockets are fake.But other than this, it is good and I recommend it to others. It will make a good base for future tweaks especially for those whom have sewing as a skill for making pockets and better button support.

I might've just gotten the wrong size since other reviews said it fit small but the sleeves were really long, but rolling them up worked I would suggest hemming them because the inside is white so the black cuffs weren't there for me. However, the quality was pretty good, the cape never fell off, and I wore a different pair of pants so I cant speak on how those fit

Five stars, I was expecting something very unpleasant to wear for the price I paid but it turned out great. The pants however weren't made with me in mind but I don't blame the maker for such since they didn't know my body size, it's not an issue anyways since I have black pants anyways. The top button popped off rather easily, it's nothing a needle and thread couldn't fix so I won't deduct from the over all score of the product for it

Fits a bit large, but pretty decent quality for the price!

The Costume is quite nice. The shoulders and outer coak are the same material and there is a softer shirt. All of it looks pretty much exactly as the picture shows. It did arrive a bit later than expected but that's most likely caused by the international shipping and the fact all of it needed to be actually made. It fits as expected, however, however, I find it a bit difficult to move my arms horizontally across my body. It's by no means a problem its just a style I am not fond of personally. Overall, very happy whole thing was nicer than I expected.
