I ordered this yarn and then realized it says hand wash and dry only. Has anyone washed it in a machine or dryer? Is it really necessary to hand wash/

I never made it that far. When making a blanket, I had to back out some stitches, and it was a tangled mess. I can’t imagine what the washing machine would do to it. I wouldn’t buy this yarn again.

The color looks more like different greens which is what I want is it greenish

Hi Linda, it sure does look green to me but photos aren’t always accurate. I’ve purchased this yarn in a blue/beige combo and photo color was right on. And it was beautiful…think I’d take a chance and buy maybe one skein to see. Then order more, even though the dye lot might be a tad different, I bought the same blue/beige on two occasions and you could not notice any difference. Good luck, and happy knitting.
