Well built. Sharp outta the box but I ran a diamond hone and strop to really get it sharp. Nice weight and profile. Have not used it yet.

Works great. Great quality.

Handle: made of high quality wood, feels grippy to hold. Hachet head: Come somewhat sharp out of the box, but handles its uses well when used to chop small pieces of wood. It holds lots of weight when chopping.

Looks great, feels solid, needs sharpened. Definitely a splitting hatchet. Blade is thick.

Cool looking hatchet. Yes it's Forged steel (rough forged). Yes it's hardened (really super hard). As received, fit and finish are sad. really rough. see pictures. It is however dense forged steel that is very hard. Plan on using a grinder or belt sander and some effort to clean it up and sharpen it. See pictures of mine, after 5 hours of grinding it with a 4 1/2 hand grinder. then sanded the wood. Handle was tight, but had some glue that filled the socket, from a poor fit. I think the handle should have been a little more Parallel with the bearded blade. Mine will be used to split animals down the spine when butchering. its a good design for that, and really cool. I needed to reshape the sides and square off the hammer end. also, I needed a well defined cutting blade.

nice small hatchet to carry in your car for emergencies.
