You'll want some good noise-cancelling headphones if you plan to push it to its limits. I personally use this with my 16-inch Lenovo Legion 7i, and it's a perfect fit for the cooler's generous top surface. It does an excellent job of keeping the laptop cool, which is vital for reducing the strain on the laptop's internal fans and, perhaps more importantly, preventing dust from being sucked up into the bottom vents and clogging the system. In my opinion, dust accumulation is one of the biggest long-term cooling problems for gaming laptops, and the Llano's "air chamber" design seems particularly effective at mitigating this. When I'm gaming, I typically find my sweet spot between 300-600 RPM. This range provides a great balance of effective airflow without the fan drowning out the game's audio. At these speeds, the sound is not unpleasant and is easily negligible over game speakers – my partner and I barely notice it. This makes it comfortable for extended gaming sessions without needing headphones purely for noise mitigation. Overall, while this is a pricier cooling pad, I believe it's absolutely worth the investment if you're looking for something truly efficient. The unique "air chamber" design ensures more air is directed through your laptop's cooling system, leading to genuinely lower temperatures and helping to prevent dust ingress. Just be aware that its size makes it less than portable – this is a cooling pad designed for a dedicated desk setup, not for throwing in a backpack. For the serious gamer or power user who values sustained performance and laptop longevity at home, the Llano RGB is a perfect, albeit stationary, companion.

This llano cooler is great, by far the best one I've used. I mostly use it on the lowest setting (300), ramping up the fans when I want to bring my System/CPU/GPU temps down, which I monitor with HWINFO and overlays. I can really see the temperatures drop down and stay steady, which allows my laptop to perform at higher clock speeds for longer. My laptop fans themselves can spin up to >5k rpm but with the cooler on and loads running on the computer, I don't see them going above 2,500RPM. Another benefit I am finding or rather feeling, is that between the keyboard and touchpad area on my laptop are no longer burning hot to the touch. The fan noise with my laptop on top does not bother me on the lower settings, it acts as white noise to me. The clamping system at the front to hook the laptop down is great too, I like that. With higher fan speeds, of course there is more noise, but really I don't need to use this cooler past a third of its potential output to get temperature drops and performance gains with which I am happy about. Its nice that it has so much headway for more cooling performance. The first product I received I noticed a ticking sound at low RPMs, which I didn't find mentioned in online reviews / video reviews. The performance was still fantastic but the noise was annoying. I spoke with support and they sent me a new one out, which I received today, and the noise is no longer, except the white noise of lower fan speeds(to me). Overall super happy with the cooler and the support from llano.

Like everyone else that needs a laptop cooler my end gaming machine was getting far too hot far too quickly and then thermal throttling the performance (i9 13900H 5.40ghz). I had done a lot of research and most people suggested that cooling pads were either totally useless, made heat worse or gave mimimal cooling results but then I came across several reviews and videos for the Llano branded coolers and decided to pull the trigger expecting to return it for a refund. My machine was sitting idle at roughly 65 degrees C with the cooler at full power I was getting a steady 20 degrees C at idle granted with the trade of being the cooler is very loud at full speed, but I was absolutely blown away at more than 40 degrees worth of performance. At lower speeds it still does a great job but of course the lower speed, less noise, less cooling but I have found a sweet spot of 400rpm is acceptable fan noise with decent cooling for normal use and if gaming I can crank it up a bit depending on how long my gaming session is. Asus Zen Book Duo 14 sits well on the foam pad and creates a good seal. All in all takes about 2minutes to set everything up. Sorry not a particularly technical review but take it from someone that had very low hope for this cooling pad I am absoutely delighted with it and wished I had bought it sooner. My laptop no longer feels like a tractor with a Ferrari engine under the hood unable to use any of the performance I had paid for. Very pleased and highly recommended from someone who is a very harsh critic of everything.

Firstly I want to say wow, this thing is a beast at cooling, I use a ASUS rog scar 17 SE g733cx. Temps are cool at any given rpm. I use a headset so the noise isn’t an issue, the issue I had with my Unit was weird on/off fault, randomly turn on and off. And also a usb port failed. Other than that the cooler is supreme, really looking forward for the v12 ultra considering purchasing but may look at other brands, this cooler has topped them all by far though. Maybe i had bad luck, returned for now and will perhaps buy another.

In my experience it doesn't work. It made no difference to the temperature of a 2024 Gigabyte G5 KF5 Laptop CPU temp or the GPU temp. For its cost, it's not worth it. It's made of cheap plastic with a cheap plastic fan that on full speed will have your neighbours complaining, it's VERY loud! It HAS to be mains powered and the included lead is short which begins to defeat the purpose of a laptop all together as now you have to sit within 1.5 meters of a power socket! If you want a laptop cooler, buy a cheaper one as it will provide the same level of cooling which is none!

I cannot recommend this cooling pad enough! Before using it, my Acer Predator Helios 300 with an i7-12700H and RTX 3070 Ti (150W) was constantly hitting 90-95°C, with 100% CPU utilization and major thermal throttling. The CPU would struggle at 2.7GHz, making performance inconsistent. After getting this amazing cooling pad, everything changed! The CPU now maxes out at only 80°C and boosts consistently to 4.3GHz or higher, never dropping below 4GHz. No more throttling whatsoever! The GPU also runs cooler and more efficiently, allowing me to overclock it from 1400MHz to over 1800MHz while keeping temperatures stable around 70°C. This cooling pad has unlocked the full potential of my laptop, ensuring smooth performance in even the most demanding games and workloads. If you have a high-performance gaming laptop and are struggling with overheating, this is an absolute must-have! 5/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
