Great Beginner's guitar!
Item just arrived in time and with great packaging. I believe the price you pay of this kind of guitar really is worth it. The guitar is suitable for beginners and needs some tuning after unpacking but the delivery packaging is perfect. The guitar itself does really feel good in hands and the surface finish of the wood is of high quality. The strings are working perfectly and with the correct tuning, one can start playing songs on it. There are also extra strings as they will be needed when the current strings wear out after a year or so of playing. It comes with the complete package and a manual as well to get you started. Despite all these, I found on the Internet that many say don't buy Martin Smith and go for something else. My advice is if your budget is limited below £100 and you want to start a new hobby and play a new instrument, this is a great option as it's cheap and of high quality. Enough to get you started until you may want to go for a more studio version of the guitar. The sound is ok and won't put you off either, but do your research as buying a bad guitar that makes bad chords, would put you off and de-motivate you in the long term.

A great little knock around accoustic.
A great little guitar. Brought from Amazon warehouse as it was scuffed and I wanted a cheap guitar just to have out all the time to practice on. I've used it as a practice guitar. I Brought some decent strings for it as the ones it has doesn't and didn't stand up to much playing. On my, what a punch. A good sound really surprised me. During lock down I have used it 10 hours a day. It's already given me a good many hours of music. Yes it hasn't got the resonating tone of a solid wood accoustic. But for under £50 you can't complain. In fact it's most probably the best value guitar I've come across. If you play and want a good quick accoustic to have out all the time, which your not bothered about getting scratches etc.. A must. (just upgrade the strings) If your a beginner and want to start, a good kit to buy to start with and Get a feel. I think brand new on here is around £59... But you Get a good playable guitar, spare strings (id recommend getting a better set) plectrum, strap and a little card with some basic chords on. Well worth it. And a good investment. In fact if you're looking to start playing a must have guitar...

Ideal for beginners
This is the first guitar I have owned so I am not comparing it against any others. I have had it now for a good few months to make sure I could give an accurate review. For a beginner guitar it is ideal. It is not too expensive, so if you find guitar playing is not for you it isn't the end of the world. There are a lot of reviews for many guitars saying they go out of tune quickly. That seems to be the same for most guitars, especially when new. This one did to start with, but a cheap guitar tuner solved the problem. However, I have found the longer you have it the less often it needs tuning. I guess the strings eventually stretch enough to stop going out of tune as often, or the better you get at playing the guitar the less stress you give the strings? Either way it hasn't been much of a problem. I have played mine for a short time almost every day now, and it still feels and plays great. If you are thinking of trying a guitar for the first time then this one won't be a bad buy.

Great guitar for beginners
I'm no guitar EXPERT, but I do play and sing. I know this isn't the best acoustic guitar but to me it's lovely. My mum (influenced by me singing and playing at pubs and other venues!) suddenly wanted to learn and she wanted her own guitar. Luckily she's into country and reggae so she won't have any trouble learning the stuff she likes because the country she listens to (Johnny Cash mostly) only uses about 3 or 4 chords throughout their songs. Anyway, this is a great beginner guitar. Colour is lovely, there's no 'fret buzz' (my boyfriend is a pro guitar player and he looked over the guitar and said that this is a good thing lol). Guitar arrived before it was estimated to be delivered, 1 day early. One tiny little chip in the paintwork on the side but that's okay, I concealed it with a dab of permanent black marker pen. It came with a guitar strap but I can only find one stud on the guitar for the strap to latch onto - boyfriend said I could take it to a guitar shop and have a stud added if it really bothered my mum. Box was a bit battered but I'm giving it to her for christmas and shall give her the guitar out of the box. The two middle strings are further apart than they should be - boyfriend said it's because it's not very well made but it's not noticeable unless you look closely and it doesn't effect playing - I've been regularly tuning up and playing it to get the strings stretched as new strings will constantly untune themselves until they're settled. Came with pics, spare strings, an alan key, a strap, and free online lessons. Great for the price and if it's a one minute wonder to mum (if she doesn't find the time to learn or play it properly) then it's a nice little present for me! Haha! All in all it's a good guitar for the price, nice steel strings etc. and good for a beginner.

Ok for price
I bought this guitar from Amazon around 10 months ago, due to a small budget I seen this and decided to go for it. I was only starting to play 10 months ago and I must say I had a bit of an issue getting used to this guitar at the start due to one thing, the action is extremely high, higher than any other guitars I've seen or played. Meaning it made it extremely difficult to play and if you are a beginner this can be disheartening. However I changed to strings to extra light Martin strings and this made it a bit easier to play however, my friends who also had cheap guitars were a lot easier to play (the Yamahas etc). Don't get me wrong, this guitar isn't horrible, but if you are wanting to learn, to make your life easier slightly up your budget and go for a better guitar. I'm doing this review because I haven't seen any online of people who have used it for a period of time. Although I have to give it its dues, it did get me through my beginner stage and is a lovely looking guitar and doesn't sound too bad either!

Easy to handle, sounds good and great value
I’m impressed by this guitar. I often struggle with my old deadnaught due to the weight and bulkiness but this is very easy to handle, looks nice and plays surprisingly well. There’s no set up required but it will need retuning a few times before it settles, after a few days it will keep its tune. If you’re new to guitar, be sure to order up a digital tuner as it will take the guess work out of it for you. Careful with the strap- it’s not great and slips out easily. Good luck on your ‘journey’

Beauty!
I was so chuffed with this guitar when it came. Firstly, it came a day earlier than I expected which was great! Secondly, it came with no chips, dents, or scratches which was great also. The guitar itself is gorgeous and has a lovely sound. Being a beginner, I was unsure of what to get but this is perfect. Lovely colour, very light and comfy. The only thing is the strings. Within half an hour a string had broken. This was just tuning the guitar. Although, the extra strings made the problem easy to fix and I haven't had a problem since. Don't let this put you off buying - it's a great deal and I honestly cannot complain about the quality of the guitar. Just be careful when tuning!

happy strumming.
guitar snobs may not tell you this is the best guitar in the world, as a beginner i don't know about that but i am perfectly happy with this instrument. Excellent value, delivered promptly, a d.v.d with your first six chords and practice pieces. Access to weekly lessons online. It didn't come with six strings as advertised but one 1e, an Allen key and instruction sheet on changing your strings. To make life easier i also bought a six pound digital clip on tuner and recommend other beginners do same. I would recommend this kit to anyone thinking about taking up guitar .
