I purchased this iron to correct my iron deficiency anemia, prior to surgery. Results were phenomenal; my iron went up from 30 to 80 after completing 1.5 bottles. No GI side effects. Phenomenal quality product. Here are a few pro tips on how to take iron:1. Take with vitamin C for better absorption. Skip orange juice because it has too much sugar. Instead, chase it down with fresh raspberries, or kiwi, or water with a slice of lemon.2. Do not take iron with caffeinated products, because they blocks its absorption. To be safe, take it one hour after having your coffee or caffeinated drink.3, lastly, check your lab work such as Total Iron, TIBC, CBC prior to taking iron and after you completed one bottle. You need to know if it’s working. If not, you may have an issue with iron absorption (due to chronic gastritis ) or ongoing iron loss/increase use by the body.

I had a follow up blood test and my HGB was 15.5! My initial HGB level was 7.1, 4 months ago so this supplement definitely helped. I also increased my dietary intake of iron so it was a combination of both factors.I made sure to take the supplement in the morning on an empty stomach with fruit or fruit juice high in Vitamin C. After taking the supplement i would try to wait ~1 hour before eating breakfast. I also combine iron rich food with a vitamin c rich food. I hope this helps!
