Works very well, does not cut or irritate where it matters most, this is the best machine I have bought so far

The Best - but stopped working within a year
Best trimming device I've ever used it stopped working after a year, I had to buy a new one. I expected it to last longer tbh

Minimalist grooming tool done right.
This trimmer fits seamlessly into my routine — clean, simple, and built for actual use — exactly where you want to use it! It feels light in the hand, but the grip and build are solid. The size is dialed in: compact enough for precision, but not so small that it feels flimsy. The matte black finish fits my aesthetic, and more importantly, it delivers — smooth trimming without tugging or irritation. I use mine head to toe without issue. Battery life holds up well and recharges quickly. The clipper head doesn’t snap on — it slides into place depending on your preferred length setting, which I prefer since it minimizes the chance of it slipping off mid-trim. To prevent water spots, I applied a hydrocoating protectant (Drip) — worth it, as it still looks flawless even after a shower. For anyone who values design and dependable performance, this trimmer gets it right. — Curated by Jaded John | #OrderlyCleanDesign

Poor charging design. Average blades.
There trimmer effectiveness drops after 3 months, and now it either tugs at hair or o have to pass the same area multiple times if used with the guard. The charging setup is also bad design. The type c port on the trimmer itself stopped working in a month. The charging base pins is spring loaded - one of the pins is now stuck and won’t make contact with the trimmer. So have to throw this now.

Works, but has significant design flaws which will make it worse over time, and cost more money.
This is an initial review, upon first use, trimming light arm hair. I will update the review after first use, after a couple weeks of routine usage, and after three months. There is a reason for the three month update, so read to the end of my review to see what the biggest, stupidest flaw of this product is, and why three months becomes a sore spot! Pros: Overall build is good for the trimmer itself, and it feels nice in the hand, with a nice weight, and overall solid feel. Trimmer is attached firmly, and has a hinge which makes it easy to clean. Works fine with water. Battery charges easily when USB-C cable plugged into body directly light works (not caveats under cons) Cons: Trimmer guard is VERY tight, clumsy to attach, oversized across the trimmer plate, and VERY difficult to adjust due to being far too tight. It is also It also feels cheap, especially in comparison to the trimmer body (strangely, Meridian calls it the "fuselage" - shrug). It also seems to be functionally useless and entirely superfluous, as there was no difference in the resulting trim length. Charging stand/base is not very well designed - it works to hold the trimmer fine, but it has two pins that touch contacts on the body of the trimmer, which are VERY easy to misalign when the trimmer is inserted, causing no charging. Included charger cable is under a foot long, and thus all but completely USELESS with the charging stand/base. Honestly, whilst I realise I can buy a proper three -foot long charging cable myself for under $5, but that is at retail pricing. Wholesale pricing in China (where this product is undoubtedly made) on USB-C charging cables is extremely cheap, and there is a negligible difference in cost between a 1 foot and 3 or 6 foot long cable. In the end, a one foot long cable is all but entirely useless, which a three or six foot cable would serve the function. No charger adapter. I realise that Apple started this cheap-out trend with the iPhone, and in some countries, it has become mandatory to leave them out, so I will not make a big deal about it, but it is still annoying, as I just happen to be OUT OF USB-A adapters. However, as the included USB-A to USB-C charging cable was useless at it's pathetically short length, I used a two-ended USB-C cable with a spare USB-C charger. Still annoying. PLastic blade??? Okay, this is where the three month part comes in. As Meridian inexplicably chose to make the cutting blade out of PLASTIC - Yes, I am serious! - By far, this is the absolutely WORST aspect of this product! Choosing plastic blades over steel is not just being cheap, it is being explicitly greedy, as the only source of replacement blades is Meridian itself. Yes, Amazon sells them, but they cost about $6 per blade in a pack of three, or $12 for one. Say it with me, folks: RIIIIIIPPPPP OFFFF!!!! Okay, that's about all I have to say at this point. Again, I will update the review in couple three weeks, and again at the three months point. If it dies, jams, breaks, shorts out, burst into flames, chases my cat around the house, or any other nonsense, I guarantee I will update my review.

Disappointing
Edit: Meridian has refunded my money. They appear to be a trustworthy company, but that doesn’t change my opinion on the product. It’s good to know you can try it worry free. I’ve owned it for a few months now and have used it once or twice a week since owning it. It’s in the garbage now because I’m frustrated with it not cutting and/or pulling my beard hair out. The trimmer does everything right except for the core reason you buy a trimmer - trimming hair. More details below. The positives: Waterproof - I had this thing in the shower until I gave up on it and it never stopped functioning. Battery life - I only charged it once and used it numerous times. Held a charge for a couple months. Easy to use - just a single button and three presses take you through all the modes: on, on w/ light and off. The bad: This is really bad considering this is the reason you buy a trimmer. It never really trimmed any type of hair well at all. It would either push my hair out of the way, resulting in an uneven cut or easily get overwhelmed and start pulling my hair. The hair on my body is very fine and it had trouble catching the hair and cutting it. My facial hair is more coarse and it couldn’t cut it. It would yank and pull my beard hair constantly. I’ve tried shave butter, wetting my hair, dry hair, slowing down, trying less hair in more passes, starting with the guard on long and slowly getting shorter… doesn’t matter. The result was always disappointing (and painful) every time. I tried a bit of trimmer oil on the blades, thinking maybe friction between the blades was the issue, but it wasn’t. It’s either not sharp or it just plain doesn’t work. If I try to use it to edge up my beard without the guard on, it would barely cut. The guard - absolutely worthless. There’s 4 settings and I can barely tell the difference at all between the lowest and highest levels. It always cut about the same length no matter what. I’m going back to my old trimmer that works, until the waterproof version arrives.

I got this as a bikini trimmer and it works well. You can have guide on or off. Doesn't catch the skin. Handy light to help see what you're doing. Easy to take part to clean and new blades are available to replace if needed. Definitely the best one I've had

Firstly it has an ergonomic handle that fits great. The unit seems very robust and yet is relatively small in stature. Comes with a variety of colours to pick from and it's waterproof making it effortless to clean I had already purchased the lower end model but it didn't have the guards I required but I could tell it was a well made trimmer. This version comes with an adjustable low profile guard that has 1mm-4mm settings. It's the best trimmer I've owned regarding nicks and cuts and just in general It has an easy USB C charging base and expected 90 minute run time. I would estimate that's fairly accurate as I only charged it a handful of times and have never had it die on me during operation Absolutely great unit and supposedly backed with a good warranty for peace of mind
