Ideally the best mug for my mother, because she has arthritis and finds it difficult to hold a normal cup

The only downsides are the cup only holds 140ml! I have to keep refilling it. The top needs to be levered off the first few times to 'loosen' up, - I did worry the lids would become too loose, but so far so good.A couple of residents struggled to use a regular cup, they no longer have the strength to hold a cup, and they would end up dropping the cup and contents onto themselves. Sadly, in care, there are never enough staff to sit with residents and help. Often they'd not even try to drink their drink. Once they got the hang of the cup, they could enjoy some dignity just drinking their tea. Little things mean a lot when you no longer have the strength anymore. I'm just waiting for more to come in stock so I can buy some more.

Good

A good product which met the needs of a relative suffering with advanced dementia along with poor eyesight. The mug is easily gripped and the cap has a very strong seal which prevents spillages when knocked or dropped. The only downside is that it has a very small capacity and one cup is not sufficient as a normal drink.

Elderly mum loved them

I bought this for my mum who has Alzheimer's and who finds porcelain mugs too heavy to lift to her mouth repeatedly. The capacity of this is very small- too small to satisfy her so I'm looking for another product but this is still useful. It is light and easy for her to handle. Cool drinks stay nicely cool because of the insulation. It doesn't get hot on the outside when hot drinks are in it. This is in some ways a negative as she forgets she has a hot drink in it and places it down on the blankets next to her in bed in way she would not usually with a mug. For this reason I also exercise a lot of caution in allowing her other carers to use this with the included spouted lid. They must remember to cool the drink before serving or mum could, not feeling the heat of the cup in her hands, suck up too hot liquid through the spout.

Brilliant for old person

Bought for my mum,this was really good value for money, easy to use having two handles, keeps drinks hot or cold depending on the drink, it's never leaked, easy to clean.
