Comes in handy when space may be an issue
The design of these sockets give them an advantage over other standard sockets when you need to get into odd spaces. The picture I included is a steering gear bolt on a GM 2500/3500 truck. Normal procedure says to remove the swaybar to access it (but you do NOT want to break off one of those mounting bolts in the frame), as normal sized sockets cannot get around it. Often I would get around that by using a 24mm ratcheting wrench and wrench extension (making sure it is the last bolt I touch), but when you get these trucks with a plow frame you can't use a wrench either without removing the frame. This socket got around the swaybar and allowed me to leave the plow mount on, and even seemed to hold up fine to my 1/2 inch Mac impact while fighting through multiple years of NY rust. While I would love to rate 5 stars, I cannot at this time because I have no idea how well these will hold up to more than occasional use. It is a great value for sure, and I don't feel that there is anything wrong with the sockets.

came broke
I've been using them for a week and they seem very durable however the rail came broken.

Quality Tiawan Sockets
These have an excellent design with both stamped and laser engraved markings. Being able to put a ratcheting wrench (17mm for the 3/8 and 22mm for the 1/2) on them makes them even more low profile. They come on a nice socket rail that is made of aluminum, unlike the less expensive Husky branded ones at Home Depot that arrive on a plastic socket rail.

Great addition
Purchased these to reach those difficult places where regular sockets will not work, and unfortunate side effect of the modern, slimmed-down cars. Have not had them long, so cannot attest to their longevity, but they have already been very helpful in allowing me to use impact tools in locations that were previously impossible before their purchase.

Quality Impact Sockets.
Well made low profile 1/2 drive metric socket set. Ideal for compact impact wrench or ratchet. Work well in tight engine bays for gearbox removal.Astro Pneumatic make nice equipment at fair prices and their included storage rails are extruded Anodised Aluminum with detents to hold each socket not the cheap stamp type.

Best small socket out there.Period.
Perfect in size.It is really odd when you read reviews with no common sense some persons are always trying to under evaluate the product.I have included a comparison picRegular 1/2 inch 14mm and the Astro nano.It is obvious and no doubt about it that it is smaller and when used with the wrench you can fit it into tiny spots.I wish some reviewers would be a bit logical about their opinion and be reasonable with their comparison. Finally the size makes all DIYers life easier.

Typical Astro quality
I own several Astro tools, and their quality and customer service has been great. Their Nano line of sockets is particularly innovative. I had previously purchased the 3/8" drive Nano metric set, and was so pleased with them that I ended up buying this 1/2" drive set, as well as the Torx and Hex Nano impact sets. The size of these sockets is amazingly small, yet I can pound them with my largest impact guns with zero issues. Using a Nano or stubby impact, I've been able to fit into spaces I would have never been able to get into before. They are so handy that they've replaced by "regular" short impact sockets on my tool cart as my go-to short impacts. The size markings on each socket are very clear, and the placement / orientation of the markings are also precise. I hate when the size markings don't line up square with the drive of the socket, since you can't see the size when they are lined up on the holder, but these are all perfectly aligned. The hex shoulder is also a nice feature, allowing you to use a wrench on them as well. I've used the sockets with a ratcheting wrench, which gives you a total height of less than an inch and a quarter. Great for tight fits like serpentine belt tensioners.

Drive side is marginally too small for some impact wrenches
The sockets have a great low profile design. The mounting bar is of good quality. However, there is a problem with these sockets; the don’t all mount to an impact wrench. The drive side is marginally too small or improperly finished. With some cleanup of the drive side, you can make them work.

Great Value versatile socket set
I am a mechanical engineer started with Snap-on since 1980's, I have not seen basic tooling components that were worth adding to comprehensive tool chests, until now. The encumbrance of modern design - everything packed tight, vehicles to industrial machines, this 1/2" set I added to my purchase of 3/8" short set. have had great success with these to my applications. good feel fit and grip, great socket rails, clear size marking, have used with both heavy duty air/cordless tools, nothing yet worn or broken, stubborn damaged rusted hard to get at fasteners are regularly released with reduced effort and increased satisfaction - I highly recommend these for use in automotive, motorcycle, racing and agricultural sectors, cheap at the price good guarantee, you won't be dissappointed :-)
