My 90 lb 8 yr old Weimeraner became acutely completely paralyzed in his right rear limb. He was accustomed to hiking with me 8 miles several times per week. Within 2 days I had the cart. Within 20 minutes I had it assembled. I didn't even try to "train" him to it because he was reluctant to receive any help around the house and yard so I assumed he would not like it. I also knew if I started on a hike, he would quickly realize he needed help and then be able to appreciate the cart. Sure enough 50 feet into our hike he gave up, so I buckled him into the cart and away we went for a full 2 miles! After our hike I thoroughly examined him; to my surprise he didn't have a single rub mark anywhere. When I wasn't paying attention and he ran a wheel up a hillside causing the cart to flip the ingenious design resulted in the plastic snap buckles in front simply releasing so the dog didn't get his spine twisted. The design, attention to detail, quality of materials and workmanship makes this an exceptional piece of equipment. I'm adding to my original review now that I have worked with the product for 5 days. I simply get more pleased with each use. I'm attaching a photo of how easy it is to carry while hiking. Why? My Weimeraner is healing from his Fibrocartilagenous Embolus so he wants to walk on his own but I carry the cart on the long hikes until he is in need.Straddling it over my shoulders as shown isn't even uncomfortable for hiking!!!

The parts are cheap and not labeled, there is not even an inventory on how much of what it is that you need. there are literally EXTRA parts than shown and the instructions are an unclear joke. Not worth the money I spent and I am greatly disappointed by reviews that had me hoping this wheelchair was my dog's savior. The materials are beyond cheap and don't all fit together well.This was a disgusting experience in a time where I really needed this help. I feel defeated.Neither of the harnesses are the ones shown. This is a scam.

It took a while to figure out how to rig the straps to help support my dogs hind legs. Overall the chair helps him to go on walks and for longer distances.

Trouble for us is not that it is a bad product, it is that the product was not useful for us. My dog has a bad back leg and has to hop, this was going to take some pressure off the standing leg so it doesn't go bad too. However, a dog can't sit in this, or lay down, but a dog dont know that so he tries and falls over, tips the whole thing then there is no getting back up with out help. It was too much for him to take down stairs, but he powered through and drug it up some stairs. He can't go to the bathroom in it because it covers that area. We wanted it for him to get around the property easier to use the bathroom and manuver through the house, but it is more of a hinderance than a help.But if he were expected to ask in a parade for a long stretch this would be just the ticket.

Well made quality parts. It was easy to assemble, it's sturdy and adjustable for perfect fit. It comes with both the sport harness and comfort harness for rear support and the front harness is a comfortable attachment to the frame. Winnie is mobile again! There are excellent helpful videos available at the company's website and on their YouTube channel. The price is outstanding for this item.

The manufacturer will not honor the warranty or provide customer assistance for any of their products sold by S&J LLC. Cart arrived and a swivel connector was jammed in the curve of the side piece and rendered unusable. Called the Manufacturer, Best Friend Mobility, at 800 customer service number in the manual. I was told that since it was not bought from them, and S&J LLC was not affiliated with them, they would not honor the warranty or provide assistance.

The straps are too difficult to get on our dog and the wheelchair shimmies to the right making it uncomfortable for the dog. We are trying to rig it with a harness and velcro material so that our dog can use it. Not worth the hasstle.

I like this product although the harness covers his pee so he peeeeepeeed on it and covered his poop area then it seemed it put pressure on his front legs so I made front wheels for it overall worth the money.. maybe add smaller hind leg harness and clips in different areas to attach the back harnes too not all dogs has the same penis area.Ty.
