True 180 degree or close enough to it. See my picture, I can see the entire edge of the table I put it up against. It is a fisheye view but I'm not trying to make movies, I'm trying to see oncoming hazards when I back up. The 180 degree shows what's coming if something like a large vehicle is blocking either side. If something's coming, I can wait, I can make out what it is when it gets closer. Image is good enough and price is right! Only negative is the connector between the camera and output is very large and ridgit and looks delicate, you would need to make sure it is supported in your install.

I bought the T9 from Autovox about a year ago and I really like it. It’s the best because it replaced the rear view mirror in my RV with an actual rear view of the road. One of the best upgrades that a road traveler can do. However, when I saw this new camera that is compatible with my existing T9 came out, I had to try it. WOW, it’s really a big difference. With the old camera I could see the four lanes behind me, but it wasn’t a full 180 degree view like this. With this new camera I can watch cars in the back as they pass me, and there is absolutely NO blind spot at all! The picture quality is also improved, and this looks like it is now full high definition. Very clear picture and it almost looks like I’m viewing a rear view mirror rather than just a screen. This is an excellent upgrade for the T9. It came with other wires as well, to make it compatible with other systems that you might already have installed I recommend this for the awesome 180 view that it has, not only the great picture quality.

Wide angle is nice, and the image is clear (no “fish-eye”). I like the OEM look. Installation was a bit of a challenge because the wires are RIDICULOUSLY THIN. Standard wire taps won’t make contact. You will want to solder the connections. The smallest connectors I could find in stores are 22 gauge and these wires are too small for them.

I got this camera to use with the AUTO-VOX T9 mirror and it provides a much wider view than the camera that came with that. The other reason I got it was because I wanted to be able to mount the camera above my license plate, and this camera has the screw that makes that possible without relying on two-sided tape. It resulted in a much cleaner install and looks like it an OEM part. For my Ram Promaster van, the digital rear view mirror already made driving much safer, and now this camera with a wider view gives me even more visibility of my surroundings. It's easily the best upgrade I have made to my van. Note: To make this camera work with the T9 mirror, you have to cut the green wire on the cable attached to the camera. You do not have to use the included RCA cable when using it with the T9. If in doubt, contact AUTO-VOX support, they are very responsive!

I got the Cam7 to go with my Auto Vox v5 Pro. Once you know to clip the green wire then it works with the v5pro signaling then was up and running. Also if you want to use the image flip you cut the white wire. I managed to get it to fit in my truck tailgate factory hole from the OEM camera placement. It doesn't sit perfectly and could use to stick through a touch more. I might do some more adjusting and maybe enlarge the hole a touch as there is a shadow left and right on the side for me. Either way it works great there, I can pan down and see my bumper and hitch, or I can pan back up and see wide angle behind me. The fish eye view does distort a little but I prefer to have the wide angle to see more area. I have not tried it at night much yet and plan to try it a little more, but generally I just like my mirrors when I’m moving forward and don’t need a live display, so I just use backing up and then have it set to use the power save feature. Overall I find this camera a great improvement for my field of view with my v5pro, and a perfect match for my tailgate latch installation placement.

I bought this camera to pair with the an android head unit I had just installed. It’s described as having a fisheye correction, but this camera looks worse than the one that came with my stereo. I purchased this one because it looked more sleek and had a more oem look than the cheap square one that came with the stereo. The other thing is I’m not sure how to remove the guidelines on the camera, there is nothing in the manual about doing that so I’m stuck with double guidelines being displayed. The video quality is good if it wasn’t for the awkward fisheye lens.

It’s got good color good definition the problem is the angle of the lens is so wide it’s not a cone so you don’t really see if your bumper is gonna hit a vehicle so but as far as the clarity, it’s really good clarity and good enough for my mom
