Pleased with the product. As a single Mum I use these a lot as an extra pair of hands. What a boon.

Good Cable Ties, But received in a partially open plastic bag, so checked there were 500 ties, only to find 497. No big deal only 3 missing but it does state 500. So if you receive order in a partially open bag then check there could be more than 3 missing.

Good ties for holding cables but you would need stronger ones if you wanted to strap something really tight

I received a pack of black cable ties and they work very well. No problems under heavy tension and the ratchet works as expected. 300 x 4.8 mm is a good length and width for general use and it’s a handy size to keep in the boot of the car.My only issue with most cable ties is that they rarely have enough protection from UV radiation and this can lead to degradation and sudden failure. In outdoor situations such as antenna masts, cable bundles, hoses, children’s play equipment etc, one should be aware that cheap ties are labelled ‘NOT FOR OUTDOOR USE’ for a reason. So it is not possible to measure how these particular ties stand up to UV until at least a few months have passed. Reassuringly, the description includes the words, “plants”, “garden” and includes an illustration showing UV protection and the phrase “UV resistant Nylon 66, Best for Indoor and Outdoor uses”. Confusingly, the product description also states, “designed for indoor use”. As long as you are aware of the issues, they should be fine.By the way, if you have plenty of time and are watching the pennies, these types of ties can be reused by simply poking a thin, flat-bladed screwdriver behind the ratchet and gently easing out the tie. Also, if you cut them off, always leave the ratchet in place so you can reuse a shorter tie. Final tip: most zip ties can be used like welding rods with a hot air gun or a soldering iron to repair cracked plastic items (e.g. my wing mirror cover).
