Great figure
I found this guy while looking for combiner limbs and I couldn’t be happier, not only is it affordable for after market but he’s also got such a goofy design. Will probably buy another

Rip and Snap this Up!
A walking shark. What?! I could have a snappy or informative intro here, but really, all I need is to tell you that this figure is a walking shark. It's a little weird even for the Terrorcons which feature two twin-headed dragons, a hawk monster, and a generic hunched-back monster. It sounds like a something from a Sharknado sequel. Now we just need to light it the Sharknado on fire and we'll have a truly terrifying natural disaster (and hopefully the end of that franchise). But is a walking shark enough for you to walk on over to pick it up?The beast mode is oddly charming. As soon as I saw it, I knew I wanted it. A walking shark with Wolverine claws? Yes, please! Posablility wise, it's good. It has Ball-jointed shoulders, elbows and hips, hinged shoulders and knees, rotating wrists, and an opening and closing mouth. I prefer to rotate the wrists so the fists face down to differentiate this mode a little more from the robot. The guns on his back can rotate back to stow away. The only flaw I have with this mode is the tail: it is difficult to get it to stay together. It is constantly agape. It's possible to get it to stay closed, but I haven't found a surefire way to do that yet. However, this is just an aesthetic knock, so it rate pretty low on the ol' annoy-o-meter. This is just a cool mode. I even prefer equipping the prime armor in this mode instead of leaving it on the side like I do with most others as it adds to the look on my opinion. Here's the thing that mystifies me about transformers like Rippersnapper, Blot, Optimus Primal, and Optimus Minor. What is the purpose of their alt modes? It seems like they can do just as much in either mode, so what is the purpose here? With Primal (with his first gorilla mode at least), it was in scale with other gorillas that it could be a disguise, but the others not so much, You're not going to confuse Minor with a real monkey, and where could blot blend in. At least with Rippersnapper, I would imagine that he could swim better (or even swim at all) in his alt mode. Really, the reason these modes exist is the same reason the line as a whole exists, in my opinion: you're getting a two toys for the price of one. To boot, it's also fun to convert from one toy to the other. However here, instead of going from an action figure to a vehicle, it goes from one action figure to another action figure. Sorry to go on that little tangent, but it just always interested me.Transformation is simple: peg the shark legs onto the sides and unfold the now signature Combiner Wars sandwich legs and rotate the waist 160. Then pull back the shark head and rotate the robot head 160 as well. DONE! The robot mode is pretty similar: it just has longer, beefier legs and a smaller head. So it's still good here. It's hard to know what to say about this mode when they are so similar to each other. There is now added articulation with the new legs: he now has a rotating waist and greater range of movement in the knees. The head is also on a ball joint. speaking of the head, it's the only real nitpick I have about this figure, and the new Terrorcons as a whole. I wish instead of being G1 accurate, they took they opportunity to make the Terrorcon heads more beastly or monster-like. Otherwise he's just as good as his shark mode, but not as terrifying.Rippersnapper comes with his pistols and prime armor. The pistols are cast in flat blue and can be removed from his back to be wielded in either mode. I prefer just giving these to his robot mode as a walking shark with Wolverine claws is terrifying enough. How do you make a flaming, walking, Wolverine claw, tornado even worse? Arm the sharks. Too bad the pistols don't mount on his beast head; that've made Dr. Evil very happy. The prime armor is a flat blue version of the Volcanicus one. It works, but I would have preferred new ones for Abominus. The panel that you remove to place a Prime Master in is a little loose on mine. That seems to be a problem with a lot of PotP deluxes' prime armor. It can mount on the shark back as previously stated or on either mode's chest, as they are both the same and accessible in either.Limb modes are good. While the legs mode is just fine, I rather like the arm mode. It's a little beefier than most and less lanky. I like that. It make it look a lot more in proportion to the rest of the combined mode. Since Blot is traditionally the other arm and a remold of this figure, Abominus will probably be one of the better looking CW style combiners.Rippersnapper is just as fun as his name. Alone or as a combiner component, you can't go wrong. However, he is simple to transform and if like distinct modes, this is not for you. As mentioned in the limb section. He will be remolded into Blot later this year. Personally, I don't think that figure will be as fun as this one.

Far niftier than he looks
I swear sometimes Amazon chooses the worst photos of things, or that a lot of the Transformer figures are just horribly non-photogenic... Rippersnapper falls somewhere into the line of "incredibly simplistic" and "cleverly put together", what with his only real transformation being his lower legs opening up and hiding his thighs. Past that it's quite literally flip his monster head up and over his robot head, rotate his hands 90 degrees, pop his tail out from between his legs, and unfurl his monster feet. Is it simplistic? Yes, but it works oddly well for him.The biggest reason he got dinged a star was that his kneecaps have little pegs which in essence lock his lower legs in place in his robot form which can break *really* easily due to how small they are. I'd imagine you could build the broken piece up a bit with something to replace it, but I haven't found an answer for it yet.

A Fifth of the titanic Abominus!
Power of the Primes was a grand whimper of an ending for the Generations Prime Wars trilogy, and probably the weakest of the three, but it still managed to deliver us one last great combiner in the form of Abominus. Rippersnapper forms his left arm, but also has a wonderful Sharkticon adjacent beast mode that's sure to make a fan of silly monsters like myself very happy. All that being said, it is a Hasbro release. My copy of the figure has some minor QC issues, mostly with the looseness of the knee joints and overall cheap feel to the plastic, but they can be looked past when it's a part of the final combiner.

Excellent shape!
This was a Christmas gift to my husband and it came in pristine condition. I got an excellent price and was very impressed with it looking better than one coming out of a store.

Terrorcon 1 of 5
This guy is a great addition to any collection. Great molded sculpting, great colors. The hip joints are a bit loose but that may just be on my copy. Overall a really good figure.

A little lack of self-confidence rips apart a lot of Autobots
Suffering from a massive inferiority complex, Rippersnapper takes it out on everything and everyone in his path that he deems inferior. He is self-hatred lashing out at the world as violently as he can. He forms either a leg or arm of Abominus.Rippersnapper is a pretty simple transformation into what is best described as land shark and a limb for Abominus, although the instructions show him as the left arm. If you are planning to expand the Decepticons, you should consider the Terrorcons for that raw power, fury and unique characters that make them interesting villains.
