Hot Face Sauces Reaper Extreme Chilli Sauce - Made with Fresh Carolina Reaper Chillis

the smallest amount of this sauce will burn a hole through your tongue! if you are after a sauce that creeps up on you starting with a pleasant flavor and slowly gaining heat until your grabbing for the milk, this is the sauce for you!As a family of chili lovers we decided to give it a try, at the request of my daughter!This was how this all began;Daughter: "i heard that reaper chili's are not hot at all"me: "i think you will find they are very hot, and you won't like them."Daughter : prove it!So being the mother that i am i brought this sauce. It is safe to say that my daughter never wants to(a) dare her mother again(b) go any where near another reaper chiliAlthough a drop or 5 work wonders in a chili con carne, just don't get to excited with it

to 'rank' it against my other hot sauces I did a taste test of 1/2 tsp of this and of scorpion357 (357000 scovilles). overall the Reaper sauce is comparable heat but hits you faster and has a much more vinegar taste. after both tastes i needed about 20mins and a half litre of icecream - and hot sauce taken neat seems to feel sooo much hotter than the same amount on eg a chicken wing :)

Hot but bearable

This sauce is 2.2 Millions of Scoville units (bottle label) I was looking for a really hot sauce, and this one is not. I’ve tried death sauce 800.000 Scoville units and it’s several times stronger. Even “da bomb” (beyond insanity 135,600) is much much stronger. Very disappointed. Tasty it’s true, but I was looking for a really spicy sauce and I’m feeling cheated.

I absolutely love this sauce but use with caution! It’s quite possibly the hottest thing I have ever tasted, and I once kissed a stripper...perhaps that’s a story for another day. 3 drops in a sandwich is enough to blow your head off. I like to mix it with mayonnaise as a dip for prawns or as a sandwich sauce. It’s not just hot but delicious too, really really tasty unlike lots of other sauces I have tried. The best thing about Hot Face sauces is that they don’t come packed with preservatives that give so many sauces that artificial, ‘bottled 3 years ago’ flavour, they taste just like you would make them at home in your own kitchen...if you were brave enough to handle chillis like that in your own home. Not one for babies or weaklings.
