Peace of Mind
A bit complicated but considering how much ANY sort of diagnostic test costs these days, this is a no Brainerd.Gives some peace of mind if you're concerned that you might have the infection.

A few handy factoids for you
I'm an NP and I was surprised to see this at-home H.pylori antibody test on the market, at a fairly affordable price. I'm not really sure who would want to use it, but perhaps it could be used as a tool for people with limited access to healthcare, such as physically far from services or not having insurance and looking for a basic screening. The biggest thing that I want to point out is that this blood test cannot tell you whether you have an ACTIVE INFECTION. If the antibody is positive, it means that you either HAVE or previously HAD an H.pylori infection but cannot differentiate which option is the case.Either way, if it's positive, you will want to see a healthcare provider for other tests to see if the bacteria is an active issue for you (e.g. breath or stool tests), and to get the necessary three-four drug regimen to help clear it up.I found the package insert instructions to be mostly details about how the test is manufactured, scientific testing method, etc. The insert instructions are not the most user friendly, using medical terms and measurements that will not be familiar to all users. I had to do the math to figure out the recommended blood and reagent dosing from microliter recommendations. For your reference, the conversions are that you are supposed to put one drop of blood onto the test strip reservoir, and then two drops of the reagent that is provided. When I came on there to write this review, I notice that the pictures on the listing include a page that tells you similar "how-to" with actual drops measurements, much easier.Mine resulted clearly at ten minutes (and was thankfully negative).

The instructions are awful - this is how I did it...
I opened this up and TRIED to read the instructions. I don't know if it was translated badly, just not written well or written for medical staff - or all of the above. Based on the little bit of information I gathered from that sheet of gobblety-goop, I started examining what I had. An alcohol pad, a little vial of "diluent", the rapid card test, a dropper/suction tube and a little plastic thing (which turns out to be the finger stick).First you open the rapid card test, then you need to wipe the area where you're going to do the finger stick with the alcohol pad, then use the plastic thing that is the finger stick, (don't do like I did - I kind of thought that's what it was but wasn't sure and ended up messing with it to figure out if it was indeed a finger stick and it "went off" and I wasn't able to use it again normally. So I put the plastic cover back on and tried to see if I could reset it to no avail - the whole thing fell apart and I had to stick my finger with the needle manually. I ended up having to do it twice because the first finger didn't give me enough blood.)...after you use the finger stick and squeeze out some blood, APPARENTLY you should gather the blood in the dropper/suction tube thing but that didn't work for me at all. It would suck it up and not push it back out. How much blood did they expect to come out of my finger?? So I ended up placing my finger on the S part of the rapid card test and putting the blood directly on it. Then I took the "diluent" and squeezed some of that on top of the S area where the blood was. Then it's just a waiting game - but not too long actually, I think I had results in minutes. But I went back to it to check again about 10 minutes later to see if anything had changed. Nope - still negative. I ASSUME I put enough of the blood and "diulent" in but how do you really know? Who's measuring and with what??SUCH POOR INSTRUCTIONS. Really, the grammar was awful, it didn't make sense and it didn't even tell you anything about pricking your finger, nor about the items you should have, what they looked like and how to use them. The only reason this is getting 3 stars is because I (THINK I) figured out how to do the test and did it. $15 sounds like a good price for this test, but I'd buy one that you can understand.

Awful & terrible directions
No idea what these included components are. The instruction says the main component kit includes test card and test strip.I am GUESSING that the packet that says "rapid card test" has these main components inside. The instruction says to open this inner package and to take out the reagent, add 25uL serum/plasma, 80uL sample diluent, 50uL whole blood, and 80uL more of sample diluent. My questions are:1) What is uL and how do I measure it?2) What is this serum/plasma? Is it the reagent that's inside the inner packet?3) How do I squeeze "50uL" of blood out of my finger? There is this yellow plastic thing and I think there is a needle inside of it but I have no idea how to get it out. How many drops is 50uL anyway and will a prick in the fingertip be enough to collect 50uL??No way to check what's truly inside the inner packet unless you are to do the test RIGHT NOW because the instruction says once you open the inner packet, you have 1 hour to use the materials inside.Awful, awful, awful.Just go to a gastroenterology and ask for a breath test. Just blow into a bag to find if you are HP+ instead of trying to make sense of how much blood you need to drip into this poorly instructed test.

Finger Stick Does Not Yield Enough Blood For Testing
This means you will either have to stab yourself a few times or squeeze all the blood out that you can and put your finger directly to the test card. If you opt for gate #2, just ignore the pipette, all the squeezing in the world did not yield enough for a single drop out of that thing. No way was I stabbing myself twice. In the end, I managed to get enough blood on the S, and three drops of vial solution on the S and I turned out negative which I presume is accurate as I've not displayed any of these symptoms. Oh yes, ignore the instructions in the insert, come back to the listing, and follow the instructions on listing photo panel 5. If this is the cheapest one you can find, ok, but man is it a pain in the rear.
