MSU Orchid Fertilizer 13-3-15 (Greencare) 1/2 Pound, Scoop Included, Excellent for Orchids, Anthuriums, Philodendrons and all tropicals

So I had two orchids, one that was dying and one that was not doing so great. Did not know anything about growing orchids. Didn't realize I was starving them by not giving fertilizer. When I started using this product the one that was dieing started growing new leaves and the one that wasn't doing so great is now growing new stems for flowers. Amazing transformation.

This is, hands down, the best orchid fertilizer I’ve ever used. I use weakly/weekly (1/4th tsp every week). My orchids flower for so long that I eventually have to cut off a still-blooming flower stalk so the plant can start the dormant cycle. The flowers come back bigger and stronger every year.

I ordered the larger bag in the past. Liked it a lot as it made one of my Hoyas bloom for the first time ever in 2024, and it makes leaves a deep rich green.One word of caution with this item. I let this sit too long (months) and the color became washed out with a strong smell, so I pitched it. I also purchased the K-Lite and that one is doing great with no hardening or strong smell.

This orchid fertilizer comes in different sizes and combinations. MSU is the abbreviation for Michigan State University. They've done a lot of studies on plant fertilizer combinations and are very responsive to questions. Amazon had the most reasonable price and shipment was hassle free. Comparison shop. Some better known orchids companies use MSU and resell under their own brand at a much more expensive price. Since using this product my orchids are growing well. There's a visible difference from other fertilizers I've used.

Love this fertilizer, but really hate the packaging. Eventually clumps due to “resealable” bag.

This plant food powder is easily and completely dissolved in water and quickly assimilated by the orchids. Results are amazing! Roots grow seemingly overnight and, at least in my modest collection of 50 or so orchids, spikes and buds are emergent as never before.I highly recommend this product and am now a loyal MSU customer.

Packaging was good, came in great condition, no spillage, etc. Reason for 4 stars: When feeding my orchids at ~200ppm (in rain water), noticed burnt root tips. Tried 50ppm and still same results. I know lots of ppl use greencare MSU formula with great results but I don't think it's working for my orchids?

I have used this orchid fertilizer for a whole month now. Great product. I like that it also has magnesium and calcium. I don't have to buy separate and then calculate how much to add. My orchids seem to love it as well. Be sure to check the ph after mixing.
