Too bad that there isn't a no star rating. This is the worst item, by far, that I've purchased from Amazon. Let's begin with the plastic, not leather, straps and buckle. The straps were mounted in the wrong position and the buckle was backwards. I thought I was simply putting it on wrong. But when looking at the pictures it really was made completely wrong.The fabric is really cheap and there was no hem or sewing. Just a roughly cut piece of fabric that is already fraying and coming apart.Save your money and stay away from this item. Absolutely a disappointing piece of junk.

The cut and style of this item is great—but the fabric quality is very low. It’s shiny and very fake looking, so unless you want an obvious costume look or are looking to use it as a pattern, it is not worth the cost.

Turns out I need to return this, but I didn't have the same experience as the other reviewer here. It looked great and the fit was good. There's an instructional video on how to wear it, which is a bit complicated and involves kind of flipping it around and inside out a bit. But the straps and buckles look very cool, and the length is great.The cape material itself is flimsy and doesn't look lux upon close scrutiny. More importantly, though, there is no hem on the cape, so it will undoubtedly fray.But for the price, and as long as it's not being examined super close, it looks extremely cool and wears very well.

I took a chance on this item, despite the poor reviews. Clearly that was a mistake.It's definitely $10 too much for what you get... it's just a long peice of super thin "halloween" costume fabric attached to very short straps... it's made more for a child than an adult regarding the straps length, that are supposed to buckle around your chest. It doesn't fit me at all, I have a D cup chest and the straps don't even touch never mind trying to get it to buckle properly. I couldn't imagine this would fit somebody plus size or a grown man, even if he was on the smaller side.Not to mention the unfinished edges, and just general all around poor quality of the materials.Fortunately, I can salvage it, by doing some alterations.... but that's even more money I have to spend now for some materials to make those changes, in order to make this usable. 100% DO NOT recommend. I'd return it if I had time to reorder something different.

Someone else mentioned this in their review and I should have read it beforehand. There is absolutely no care that goes into the production of this product. The fabric is literally just scrap fabric that is badly cut with no hem, mine was even sewn on upside down. I've been trying to put together a Halloween costume for this year and thought this would be a good fit, but this is not a good product at all

I wasn't really expecting much from a cheap item, and I was right. It came poorly stitched and made wrong, with the belt part in the wrong position. It can be fixed, but I would rather NOT have had to make corrections to it.

VERY low quality when it was advertised to be made with 'High-Quality' materials, all they did was take a long strip of thin fabric and sewn it onto some rubber straps, and the cloth isn't even hemmed, not to mention that the fabric isn't even fully connected to the straps! There was little to no care put into the product, but the delivery time was at least decent. This piece of crap isn't even worth $10, save your money and find a better seller. There's also nothing 'steam-punk' about the cape, so add 'misleading title' on top of it. I'm definitely requesting a refund!
