KitchenAid Stainless Steel Filled Pepper Grinder, 8 Inch

Excellent salt shaker that looks sleek and modern. It is quite large as well, but easy to use. You can vary the grind size and the quality is great, and it is very easy to refill.

Very good product, the grind has different settings and works great. The bottom part is thick plastic that looks very durable. Had it for about a week and love it. Bonus, came with filled peppercorns.

Kitchen Aid salt and pepper shaker/millsI had the Olde Thompson Salt Shaker/Pepper Mill set since 2002. Recently the pepper mill completely died. Although its performance had been sub-par for a while, it still would grind pepper for a coarse texture. I searched Amazon and found this Kitchen Aid set and read all the reviews, as my mind was set to get another Olde Thompson mill. The Kitchen Aid reviews compared to any of the Olde Thompson reviews were glowing. The few percent negatives didn't seem to relate to me. The caps pop off and on with ease, and I have carpal tunnel in my dominant hand. I liked it that very few people complained that the units broke, where breakage was an issue with most other brands. Actually, the Kitchen Aid set that I received is metal and plastic. No glass is used anywhere. You do have to get the hang of the grinding; it is based on an atypical design. I already had peppercorns, but I bought Himalayan Pink salt rated #1 on Amazon, so after using up the salt included things should go better, as that #1 salt is rated perfect for milling. However, the included salt seems very good to me. Both the salt and pepper have expiration dates of October 2027. Wow, that's great.This Kitchen Aid set is superior to my Olde Thompson set in so many ways for both the salt and pepper units.1. Grinding is done from the top to avoid mess on the tabletop.2. There is a real choice in fine/coarse texture that you can both see and taste.3. The units are ergonomic and easy to clean.4. Build quality is good and they look elegantNow, they just have to stand the test of time.

The design of these salt and pepper grinders is not as attractive as the Peugeot set I had previously but they work better. They are also neater and do not leave bits of salt or pepper underneath them so I do not have to clean the counter as much.

It’s a very nice looking salt grinder BUT for me, I cannot use it. I have arthritis and I cannot grind with it. Neither can my husband whose hands are not like mine. It seems sturdy and price wasn’t bad if you have strong turning ability in your hands.
