Osprey Exos 38L Men's Ultralight Backpacking Backpack, Blaze Black

Love this day pack. It’s lightweight, plenty of straps to customize fit and deep side pockets.too bad it is discontinued.

Been using an Exos 48 for several years. Have really tuned in on my gear after 5000 plus miles since retirement and now use the Exos 38. My base load is 12 lbs and winter max 14 lbs.. 17-20lbs with 3 days food and 1 1/2 liter of water. The pack volume is still not maxed out -so room for a couple of add on items if needed. Interestingly --Everything I carried in the Exos 48 fits into the 38. This pack carries my weight range perfectly. I did add a Mountain Laurel hip pocket on the right side--which by the way is a perfect fit on the pouchless hip belt system. (I do not carry the pack brain).....The suspension system is great..shoulder comfort and hip belt fit and comfort is the best. I distribute my pack weight at 75% hips--25% shoulders for a center of gravity at mid back. Better balance for an old dude..Could not ask for a more comfortable suspension system as the Exos. I've tried them all--hands down the Exos. I am 5 10 170 and the medium size fits perfect. Would not recommend the pack for over 25lbs...Only complaint is still--had same problem with Exos 48 --the frame squeaking where the shoulder strap attaches to the top of the pack and pushes down on the frame. . Irritating but easily remedied with a small piece of foam pushed in between shoulder strap and rigid frame.. It does eventually go away with use..I did two 100 mile hikes with the 38 and simply love it..My strongest recommendation for the avid hiker.

This was on my wishlist for 2 years and it was a dream come true to open the box when it came. The pack height isn't where I wanted it but that's a nonfactor as it's super comfortable and lightweight. No regrets. More upset I waited as long as I did to buy it. Took it on a 6 mile morning day hike in 90 degree weather and even with the muggy sweat enducing weather it was still very comfortable.

My first foray into the "light weight" pack world. I know there are lighter packs but for me, the cost and weight and brand recognition (my second Osprey pack) helped make this decision easier. I like the pockets on the outside and material used. Very good pack

The Exos 38 is a great pack for day hikes or lighter loads. The curved back support was great for keeping the pack off my pack. While it doesn't have other features such as hip pockets, it serves its purpose as a lightweight pack that made it easy for me to walk at a brisk pace.

This is a pack that you can forgot about once you put it on. I carried 25 lbs including the pack the first trip that I took it on, and it was very comfortable. The pack is well designed and high quality.

Great lightweight pack. Can fit quite a bit in it and it carries well if you keep the load not much more than 25 lbs in my experience(I target about 18lbs for a long weekend without beer). It was between this and the stratos. The kicker for me was the stretch pouch on the outer. A huge complaint is the lack of hipbelt pockets but otherwise an awesome pack.

Fast delivery, great product! Slightly less space to fill it up with clothes as I expected but very comfortable to wear it! Just done a 3 months travelling with this backpack and I'm glad I decided to get this one!

Un petit Manuel d’utilisation ou de conseils d’utilIsation serait un petit plus, il y a tellement de liens qui se promènent, mais après 30 mn d’analyse du produit et une journée test en rando, tout est ok et correspondant parfaitement aux attentes. Impec pour randonnées journées à 2 ou en solo 2 a 3 jours
