Fantastic book if you are interested in Dobro history. Beautiful photos of actual instruments. A must have. But be careful - some people are selling it for a ridiculous sum. Got a perfect new copy for £20 and notice that some sellers on Amazon are selling it for £45 plus.

This is an outstanding book very comprehensive and very well put together. I wold highly recommend it to any player of this instrument it helps you understand the early development of this instrument . Once you start to learn to play it it takes in a musical direction that is a revelation as for as you music is concerned.

This book is full of glossy pictures of wooden Dobros. I would have liked to have seen the metal bodied ones covered but it does what it says on the cover well.
