Not the Jen brushes I am used to
The Jen brushes I am used to are very dense and put spread an even layer of polyurethane with no bubbles. These brushes are not dense and when you brush on the polyurethane there are a lot of bubbles. The Jen products I purchased in the past have always been very good. I will try another product next time, either Jen has made a vasty inferior product or this is a knockoff with Jens name on it. As is they do not work well for polyurethane.

The best foam brushes
I’ve been using the Jen brand brushes for years, they hold up well and don’t shed little pieces of foam. They are a little pricier than some but are worth the difference

Got a project that needs foam brushes - these are the ticket!
I have been on a mission for a while now to get the honey oak out of our house! Through this process I have used MANY foam brushes, these are the only ones I am leaving a review for because they are awesome compared to 99% of the choices out there! I have used them with paint, gel stain and poly coats.1. These are very sturdy brushes - it is not just a wooden post with a shaped foam piece on top. Those types (if you have used them you know...) do not hold a shape and after using them a little while just droop from the weight of whatever liquid you are using them with. These brushes actually have a piece of material (kind of looks like a thin stiff piece of felt) in the middle which keeps the brush from drooping at all.2. the foam iteself is superior - using other brushes I have seen pieces being torn off from the smallest snag in the wood I'm painting/staining. These seem to be more of a dense foam, which also helps with the ability to hold it's shape.3. Durability - both pieces above talk to the durability, but something I have been able to do with these brushes that I wouldn't even dream of even attempting with other brushes is washing it out and using it again - yes you heard me right. I had been painting various things white and went to the sink, rinsed it out, dried it with some paper towels and it was basically good as new. The second (and third time!) I did this with these brushes it was like I grabbed a brand new one.I will never buy other foam brushes. I'm sold!

Impressive!
I am absolutely impressed by the quality of these brushes.I restrained all of the rails and support posts on my porch today. I intended on using one of these brushes just to cut in around edges and use a larger bristle brush for the main surfaces. However, after I started using this brush, I was so impressed by how well it performed, that I ended up staining everything with just one 2” foam brush. I was amazed that it lasted for the entire project and could have kept going! One brush was able to stain three large wooden posts holding up my porch’s roof, two large hand rails, and all of the vertical stiles on the rail. The foam never separated or disintegrated — really good quality! Using other foam brushes I the same manner, I would have gone through at least 5-10 brushes.I like these so much that I’m about to order a package of 1” brushes for my supply.

Made the job go much faster!
There were reviewers who commented that they only received a single brush at first, and while Amazon did send the rest after the mistake had been reported, the reviewers were understandably annoyed by the mistake. I did get all 48 of my brushes, but what's more, the box I received was sealed with a big yellow sticker that said, "This is a set. Do not break apart." I'm guessing this is Amazon's way of ensuring that the workers who place the items in the boxes don't make that mistake anymore. As for the brushes themselves, they're great! I didn't expect them to make much difference, but they hold several times the amount of polyurethane that the natural bristle brush I'd been using held. It's amazing how much of a difference that made. The job was much quicker and my back hurt much less when i wasn't constantly having to stop to get more poly on the brush. I've only used them once so far, and it was for the 3rd coat of poly, so I could be wrong, but it looked like the brush strokes left the same pattern as the regular brush was leaving.I don't like using things that are disposable, so I didn't love the idea of buying brushes with the intention of throwing them out after a single use, but the process of cleaning a regular brush after you use polyurethane is crazy. I'm sure I will still use a natural brush for anything that's water soluble, but for polyurethane or anything else that requires the use of harsh chemicals, using a disposable brush is so much easier and, given the fact that those cleaners are so dangerous that they can't be dumped down the drain, the disposable brushes might be better for the environment. I even thought to put gloves on for the first time. I couldn't believe my cleanup was so simple. Take off the gloves, throw away the brush, done!

2in foam brushes
They are superior foam brushes. They are for small jobs but have better foam (stiffer) and a plastic insert that adds stability to the brush. Much better than can be purchased at the big hardware stores.

Flimsy
I'd rather use a natural brush

One-Third the Cost of 2" Foam Brushes at Big Box Hardware Stores and Made in the USA ...
“Jen Manufacturing Inc. 2” Poly Foam Brush (Pack Of 48)” were just what my woodworker spouse and I needed for finishing projects or painting. The angled head of the 2” brush makes it easy to use in small areas. The wood handle is about 4” long and ½” in circumference. I use these brushes for craft projects or when painting a room in the house to cut-in as necessary. They work well for getting a smooth finish – no brush marks – when painting a toy or stepstool that we have made for the grandchildren. Best of all, they are easy to wash and reuse several times. At one-third the price of 2” foam brushes found in the big-box hardware stores – approximately 25 cents vs 79 cents - “Jen Manufacturing Inc. 2” Poly Foam Brush (Pack Of 48)” are a true bargain. More surprising, these brushes are made in the USA. You won’t go wrong buying these 2” foam brushes on Amazon.

Best foam brush out there
Excellent for poly, paint, varnish and shellac. The foam is denser than most foam brushes and well secured to the handle.
