Samsung Gear 360 (2017 Edition) Spherical Cam 360° 4K Camera ‎SM-R210

A real bargain at the $79.95 I paid for it! Live streaming on Facebook and YouTube works great. It's absolutely amazing to be able to give someone a realtime tour from thousand of miles away while they wear a VR headset. Just note that there is a 5 to 10 second delay, so the recipient also needs a separate phone connection on a separate device for a one-on-one "realtime" communication (the delayed voice echo is intolerable when both calling and watching with a single device). And note that the iOS software has been updated to support realtime! It worked great with my iPhone.I just wish there were a way for my phone to connect to the camera and stay connected to WiFi Internet at the same time (e.g., by connecting to the camera with Bluetooth).I don't know what tomorrow will bring, but right now, this is the best spherical camera out there for the money. The only benefit of the more expensive models that I can see is that this one is a little big and heavy to fit in your pocket, but it should fit easily into a purse, and it has a handy wrist strap. Plus the wide, easy-to-balance also means that you don't always have to use a selfie stick.

I am sorry Samsung, but you really missed the point with this camera. I am a video/Photographer hobbyist and I did want to try some 360 photography and videos, but this camera didn't deliver at all.I read plenty of reviews, and as many others on this website tell the focus and stitching is bad, and they are correct. I don't know what prioritize the focusing in this device but it is a hit and miss, and sadly more miss really, I did some family photography, to create little planet effects, and since we all were about the same distance it worked then, but everything else was very compressed and blurry. Then I did a video test hiking trip, and I didn't get anything but my distorted face. I tried a drivers update but the same problem. While using with a tripod the lens will move or change alignment for no reason. The best you can get out of this is if you stay away or everything is far, and then use other stitching software, but for that, you need to spend about $300 for a decent stitching software. If you go to Samsung website and see the promo videos, I am pretty sure they did use a different software to stitch and you can see that the images are very compressed and that's during nice daylight, while dusk or later time the images get very noisy and the compression show the banding if you try to compensate in post.The phone app will work only in Samsung Phones, but you don't get the same options on the phone than in the windows app. There are apps for other android phones but they don't work, I tested two of them I just had to ask for my money back because they just crashed or didn't connect at all.I can't recommend this camera at all, and if you need to do 360 video you'll have to spend serious bucks because there is nothing decent in this price range, you'll only get decent footage when spending over $300 bucks or more.Quick edit in this review: after testing this camera for a couple of days I just returned to Amazon, there is no use for me to keep this camera.Thank you, Amazon for the quick and easy return process!

Okay to start, this is a great entry level 360 4k camera. This right now is on sale for 89$At this price nothing comes close.I bought a Samsung 128gb sd card U3 and it works, reads, and writes perfect.Connection to my Samsung Active works perfect.I believe its recommended to have an S7, S8, S9 model or newer. With these versions of Samsung smart phones, streaming is seamlist and beautiful.For those of you that have used other 4k 360 cameras, yes there is clearly better options... but again, nothing close to the price range.Everything works and functions as it should and as per specs, it comes with a charger, and a cloth case and support ring. All you need is a SD card to go.With that Said, I want to mention something that should usually go in the seller profile, though if I put it there you won't see it. So I am writing this just help you. And keep in mind I'm still rating this 5 stars becuae the product itself is great.The camera shipped by 'Mobile deals' through Amazon to me, was an open and thus used device. Not new.I attached some photos for reference, this is how I pulled it out of Amazon's shipping box.Not only was this opened once and resold, it was opened a second time and resold as there was 2 levels of tape placed and re-broken before being sent to me.Me now being the third owner.... when it was supposed to be new.Also, packing was dirty, and the labeling was very poorly replaced and with a new (fake??) serial number placed on it.Update: Check the third photo I realized this is an international box (SM-R210 ), they but the used camera in and put a US version number on it.It's to big of a hassle to complain and resend and reship... it works... just frustrating. Make sure you don't order from them and pick someone else.Well, hope this helped!
