Hopefully, you don't have to use it often, but it works well at stopping any bleeding from nail cutting or razor burns.

I accidentally cut one of my dogs too close. As soon as I applied the styptic powder, it stopped bleeding and my dog seemed much more comfortable.

For minor cuts and nicks this is a instant STOP BLEED. It's soo much better than wearing a band-aid all day (or if you cannot due to working in water or adhesive allergy). It DOES sting a wee bit for a flash when you apply it but that is all, it really didn't bother me, but I felt I should mention it. Highly recommend.

So i purchased this because i have three dogs that move a lot while trimming their nails and I usually end up clipping one or two a bit low. They tend to bleed a bit so now I'm ready fo the next time.

I used it for when our dog chipped her nail and we had to cut it off. Made the blessed stop and I think it helped with pain from the way she was acting.
