This is a replica of a 'movie knife'. It is "officially licensed" and numbered, that just means it is more of a collection piece. Although it is solid it is more meant to be displayed or showed than actually using in the field. With that being said, I would more than likely purchase or make a 'shadow' box and leave it at that. Using it in the field, for me, would be a risk. Not only risking potential damage but ruining the value as a collector's knife. I tend to want a knife that not only will serve the purpose for which it was intended, but to last. This may do just that but my experience with 'show' knives are they are not all that functional, tend to break, or quickly become dull. Again, nice design and hefty, but meant to be in a display case to be shown.

Nice knife though I would have liked to see a walnut or exotic wood handle. Completes my Rambo Hibbens set.
