A must read for any IT/MSP business
Even if you have been in business for year, please get this book and then the course by Karl. I think of this as my go to resource and I should have thought of that book. Excellent, and good reminders.

Fantastic place to get started
I knew ZERO about this part of the business, and this gave me a great deal of understanding how to start, as well as some templates to use in the beginning. Great place to start for those who were like me.

A valuable resource
In his Service Agreements book, Karl mentions more than a handful of times that you should consult with an attorney for any agreement you sign. So, after I wrote my drafts based in large part on the agreements in his book, I sent them to my attorney. Of course, he changed several things, but one of the comments was, “Excellent draft work.” I'm glad I did the prior work myself rather than merely asking my attorney to write one. This book helps you understand the parts of service agreements, the protection you need, and why so that you can determine the best way to craft them for your business. Using this book forced me to consider each piece and what I wanted out of the agreements in a way that I wouldn't have if I had hired my attorney to write one for me.

No contact from publisher
This might be a good book but I wouldn't know yet because the promised-to-be-available downloadable content hasn't arrived. Not only has it not arrived, I've never been contacted, thus far, after registering the book on the publisher's website 5 weeks ago. On the website there's no phone number and no email address, just a contact form which is not monitored, for all I know. Without the promised downloadable content, the book is worth a lot less than the $40 price but it's too late to return for a refund. Be cautious if thinking about buying anything from this series of books - it might be worth more buying something else instead.

Karl should have been a lawyer!
I modeled my service agreements on Karl's templates. They get the job done. It's still necessary to run your customized agreements by an attorney, but it's a lot cheaper to do that then spend up to $5,000 for a specialized IT lawyer to do it from scratch!

It’s an essential reference that you’ll refer back to again and again
This book provides the fundamental building block of the customer relationship / the contract. The included forms are great. And anytime I’m looking to make a change to my customer contracts I refer back to this book.
