miniWINDER No More Tangled Earphones! Retractable, Spring Loaded, Automatic Earphone Cable Winder - Black

A neat little device that promises to save a lot of frustration and I can see it would if used for earphones that were for an MP3 or similar. The phone earphones I have have a clip / microphone section half way along that just doesn't wind up. That part of the cord just doesn't fit into the winding/storage chamber.But easy to use and clear instructions and I can totally see how it would work if I had the right kit. Still work in progress on my part

This is such a great idea, and I am using it daily, However I do feel that the concept is a bit let down by the quality of the build. It is flimsy and the action is gritty and noisy. I actually think I would have preferred to pay a little more and get something slightly more robust. However it has not broken yet, so it may be that my concerns are misplaced.

I like the miniwinder and but you should be aware of 2 things firstly it is not completely automatic, I need to guide the cable through to stop it getting tangled and then jamming.Secondly, it is not practical to keep your headphones partially wound on the miniwinder while listening, I always take it off completely. But it is perfect for storage, and the dip at the top is great for protecting your ear buds.Just wish the core in the middle was a little slim, so there is more room to wind, and spring an little stronger. This might solve the jamming problem.

Now that looks useful I thought. BUT once home the unit is not really up to the job as even the lead on my creative 630's is a little too large for the hook and winding spring tension.So a good idea that needs a little more development in the mean time I will continue with the magnetic cable ties I bought sometime back to keep my leads tidy.

Great concept except my headphones, like many, have an immovable clip where the wires divide which is too big to wind in.

Not sure it's worth the hassle to use this - quite fiddly to get it to rewind Apple earphones with control tab

Not that useful unfortunately. It does feel quite flimsy but the main problem is that it does not even have enough ‘wind’ for the iPhone earphones.

Hook not large enough for standard double-round in-ear headphone cable, so useless for me. Returned for refund.
