I see a lot of bad reviews about this product not working, I can guarantee this is because of the stock SD card that comes with the device. If you decide to buy this device PLEASE NOTE that you will have to buy your own higher quality SD card, format the card and flash the newest Garlic OS system onto it, you'll also have to find your own roms & bios files, which is easily done if you know what you are doing, don't buy this device unless you know this. There are great tutorials online that you can follow to format and flash your new SD card, find roms & bios etc, however if you dont have a pc/laptop and the required knowledge to use the tech, then don't buy this device, the SD card that comes with the device will 100% break and your device will not work.

Nice box. Looks good. Turn it on and you don’t move past the logo. Most exciting part of when it flashes on and off. Tried removing battery. Reloading SD card. Reviews say to get new SD card but surely spending £80 off quid on it you shouldn’t then have to buy a new SD card for the thing to work.Such a shame. Total waste of money and time.

These are so good, they come with a brilliant selection of games, though if you want these to play Mario games you will have to download them yourself. It’s easy to use, the buttons work really well and it’s particularly brilliant that you can save your progress for any game you play with 5 or 6 save slots for each game. The only issue I have found is sometimes it gets stuck on the load up screen so I have had to reset the machine multiple times to get past this, though once it’s up and running I haven’t had any problems. This is packed full of nostalgia for me and I have been reliving my 90’s youth with all the mega drive and snes games.It can get a little uncomfortable with extended play because of the small size but there are some nice little comfort grips out there that slot on the bottom which give it the feel of a controller .

I echo all the positive thoughts on this - it plays up to PS games seamlessley. After 1 day I suffered from the device not charging and getting stuck on the Home Screen as seen in some of these reviews but this is easy to fix! (See below).Some corners have obviously been cut on the main board to keep the cost down - it turns out that these devices are very sensitive to using the correct charger (must be 2A. My 4A worked ok but got very hot) and any corruption to the SD card and it's data will result in the device not even charging since this is where the firmware sits (i.e. no bios on the main board).There is plenty of information about this issue on Reddit but for those struggling:The included SD card is very poor quality. Spend an extra £5 on a better 64GB SD.Download the latest firmware from the Anbernic website.Unzip (7zip required which is free)Flash the latest firmware to the new, higher quality SD using Rufas (Windows) or BalenaEtcher (OSX)Put the new SD card in slot 1 (NOT slot 2).If you still have issues, undo the 6x micro Allen screws, open the device and make sure that the battery cable is properly attached.Happy gaming!

This is a great little emulation device. The performance, even on PS1 games is surprisingly good. The battery life is great, maybe 5 hours depending on the games that you are playing. There are an overwhelming number of included games. Some of the ones that you may expect to see, or desire to have, may not be included out of the box, so you may need to locate those online (I found a good post on reddit with links to download additional titles).The carry case is decent and offers good protection. A screen protector is also included. The build quality of the device feels good too. It is quite light, so they could probably have put a slightly bigger battery into it to add more battery life and extra weight to it. Overall, it has been a great little device and I have been nostalgic playing the games from my childhood.Mini HDMI on the top allows you to connect it to an HDTV and play on the TV. You can connect an external controller to the USB-C port on the bottom of the device as well, but I just used the buttons on the device itself. Definitely recommended to fans of retro gaming.

It's a shame as the build quality was good. Well packaged. However once opened, it would not charge and the handheld was stuck on the welcome screen. After a couple of hours trying to reset and consult the internet forums to no avail. They said the problem could be the firmware or faulty SD card and to flash another OS seemed to hard to do (it should have worked without me doing that!). This did not explain the unchangeable battery. Will try another model.

*updated review after three days use*Build wise, it's excellent. I tested the TV out up using my Raspberry Pi Zero 2 lead to check and it all works very well on a 1080p tv.If the lead was long enough you can use it as a console say if you are stuck somewhere like a hotel and it's a nice welcoming feature to have, especially on a budget device.Has 2 micro SD card slots mine came with just the 64gb card but I think it's been updated to run RetroArch with more emulators added like Sega CD and Dreamcast. It's very good as it is but you may tinker with it and add more games to it if you want to create a bigger card for yourself. There's more than enough on it to get you busy for a long time anyway.I strongly suggest making a backup of the card to a hard drive so you can get it working if anything goes wrong with the card. You really need to do this to avoid buying a replacement.Overall, I'm really impressed with it 😁

Got this for my younger sons birthday he loves it.. I love and I am in my 40s.. bring back good memories... buy it and see..

Después de tres meses de funcionamiento. Buscando por la red y trasteando, puedo decir que es una gran compra. Con los juegos que trae es suficiente. Yo he sacado los juegos de la tarjeta que trae y junto con los del emulador MAME que he buscado, los he copiado en una tarjeta para la segunda ranura. Y en la primera he instalado el sistema operativo de GarlicOS. Todo funciona muy bien, a pesar de la caña que le he dado. Muy contento con esta maquinita.

Console per emulare vecchi giochi.Materiali buoni, tasti non sempre precisissimi ma più che efficienti per lo scopo.Schermo luminoso anche all'aperto con luminosità regolabile.Audio discreto non eccelle ma è sopportabile meglio usare delle cuffiette.Vasto parco di emulatori con possibilità di aggiungere i singoli giochi.Divertente e completo.

Pas du tout tout livré comme la photographie et en plus la console démarre mais reste bloqué en écran allumé noir et rien ne se passe déçu après impossible de l’éteindre à nouveau doit attendre que la batterie soit hs pour ressaye je déconseille fortement j'ai demandé pour faire un retour du coup car inutilisable

La pantalla se queda en la pantalla principal mostrando el logotipo.He comprado una consola con juegos que no tiene juegos.Seguramente tenga que cambiar la tarjeta a mi coste propio.Me parece una vergüenza pagar este dinero por algo que no funciona, para al final tenerme que buscar las soluciones.
