This is more than what it is described. It is truly a professional Iron/straightner. You can hold it comfortably and it heats up instantly. I love the clean polished look it provides my hair. I've found a new favorite!! Love it!

I wanted the try this flat iron because it's shape. I'm hair stylist and this iron gives me easy movement when I curl or straight. And very high quality worth the money

Before you read my review let me start by saying that I am a true Paul Mitchell product fan. However, a friend of mine loaned me this to try and I have to honestly say I was deeply impressed. The packaging is important to me as it gives a first impression of what to expect. This packaging is hands down phenomenal. You could tell a lot of thought and care goes into each iron. The iron is nestled in a soft, thick foam so it doesn't shift, shake or move during the shipping process. No inner components are rattled. The iron itself has a unique handle design that at first I had mixed feelings about. However, if you have arthritis, carpal tunnel, or even a stylist this product is for you. The design is actually genius. The one down side I did find is that each time you turn it on you have to reset the temperature setting since it is digital and not a turn dial. I do like the like digital feature as it allows you to actually know your temperature setting so you don't scorch your hair. (We have all done this before!) The iron itself is very smooth and doesn't pull. With the curved edges you can also use it as a curling iron as well. Lastly, I will say that my Paul Mitchell has some stiff competition and is now sitting in a drawer. I clearly recommend the Xenia Paris.

This is hands down the BEST flat iron I have tried in many years. Consumers you will not be disappointed. From packaging, to design, as soon as I opened the box I could see that I had purchased a high quality tool. In using the tool I first noticed the ergonomic grip and how much easier it was to straighten my whole head of hair. I have very thick, wavy hair, and basic flat irons with the standard tong design can tire the muscles between my thumb and forefinger. This flat iron has an opening where you slide your fingers in between the iron, and use your thumb on the back side to push the plates together. It takes a lot of tension out of your hands, AND helps you maintain a steady hold. You're less likely to drop this tool and burn yourself. The safety aspect is really impressive. The ceramic plates heat quickly, and the power and function buttons are user friendly. I've had a lot of problems with my hair sticking to the plates in the past as I have to use heavy product in my hair in order to straighten it out. My hair doesn't snag or stick to this in the least, and the finished result is smooth, silky hair that is shiny and soft. I'm very happy with this purchase and highly recommend purchasing one to try for yourself! :)
