I got this DVD for Christmas and it is awesome! The series comes in two DVD cases (3 discs per case) labeled Melrose Place: The DVD Edition Part 1 and Melrose Place: The DVD Edition Part 2. The only special feature on the series is a behind-the-scenes featurette called "Welcome Back: The New Melrose Place". It would have been great if it wouldn't have come in two different cases, but in 3 slim cases like 90210 Season 1 or one case like Glee: Season 1, or the re-issued version of One Tree Hill, but this is still great. It's the content that counts. Even though it only has one special feature, it's very good. It has interviews with the cast from the new and older version of Melrose Place. I gotta say, I'm pretty pleased with this DVD set.

Having never watched the original Melrose Place series I wasn't sure what to expect. At first I felt this series was just good enough to keep me watching, but then halfway in I realized I was totally hooked and already sad that it was soon to end. Sure, there are lots of things wrong with the series, but there are also some great storylines and even some solid acting. I liked Violet's character the least, as I think she overplayed the creepy psycho. And it made no sense to me that Augie took off with her. On the other hand the Ella Simms character was phenomenal. I understand the appeal of bringing back some of the original cast members, but they were all pretty much terrible, especially Amanda (not to mention that it appeared as though they airbrushed her every frame; she was sort of bathed in white light). This is the kind of show that Amazon and Netflix should be bringing back, instead of bringing us animated shows like Thunderbirds. I don't know a single person who is interested in that show, or in most of the newer Amazon shows. And Netflix is worse. All they have to do is look to their old TV libraries for shows like Melrose Place that can be brought back to life.

The show is a Camp has given way to noir, soap has morphed into mystery, and acting and dialogue have become more sophisticated while alcoholism, drug addiction, infidelity and even murder remain among the permanent residents of the fictitious 4616 Melrose Place. It's all brand new and shiny but comfortably familiar and keenly calculated. The pleasures abound within the walls of the new "MP," but be warned: You'll want to take a shower afterward.The new Melrose Place may not be the old, but it is, all told, instantly engaging and--from the evidence--likely to remain so and This one is stylish, smartly produced and has a very appealing cast.With murder, prostitution, blackmail and hot lesbians in just the first episode, it won't be long before that iconic swimming pool boils over. Innocence lost is always fun to watch, especially when it's this good-looking. Terrific fun, and much classier than the old show, but still with plenty of cheese.The one bad thing about the show was Ashlee Simpson-Wentz what a horrible actress/ I think the show was canceled because of Ashlee Simpson bad acting.The star of this show totally goes to Katie Cassidy as Ella Simms. I ordered it on Sunday, May 6th it shipped that Wednesday and I received it that Thursday!!! Great Sound, and picture quality!!! The 18 Episode series should of ben given one more Season atleast, the cast was great, same basic plot, and the 5 Orginal's mixed well with the new cast, the building, faces, and cast were fresh, young, hip and sexy!!!!!!!!!! I could tell Heather L had some cosmetic surgery on her mouth. Ashley Simpson wasn't terrible at all as Violet, they stayed true to what Sydney Andrews Daughter would be in the storyline to matter who played her, she had red hair like Laura Lieghton orginally did, worth purchasing!!

I am so happy to have this on DVD. I was hesitant for awhile purchasing it due to teh reviews it was getting saying it was taking so long for delivery. I was also afraid the quality was going to be really bad etc. I purchased this. I received the item within 3 days of purchase. I was overly estatic, all episodes are brilliantly clear, I have this to own forever. They just didnt give the show a cahnce. I have already watched the entire season in one week again. I love it. Great purchase. Great Quality.

DVD discs in good condition. Thank you to the amazon marketplace seller for offering this rare product (2009's Reboot of Melrose Place) which only lasted for one season. It was great to see some familiar faces from the OG cast!
