This is our second pack. We’ve had the first for 4 years and we play with it on a daily basis. It’s the best open ended toy and the quality is top!

We've had several different brands of magnetic sets. Some of them have weak magnets which is probably the biggest common problem of the cheap ones. This one has stronger magnets. It also has a nicer looking tile design and when you handle the tiles they have a better feel to them.If you're starting out with tile sets for a toddler, it's worthwhile to get a mega pack because they tend to play with these for many years to build lots of creative structures. These magnetic tiles are a lot easier to clean up compared to LEGO pieces scattered everywhere, so that's a plus too.This set is more expensive than the no-name China brands, but I think it is well worth it for the vastly improved quality.

If you are going to invest in any childs building 'blocks' or items, I would recommend these hands down. My kids have several different sets and many different brands of magnet tiles, but they always come back to these. These are easier to build with, easier to stack, balance, and create. They snap together without issue and without the fear of magnet pieces weakening or coming off entirely. They handle even the roughest games and fort desecrations (ask me how I know, hah) and they clean up easily too because they just snap together and down pretty quickly. This set is all inclusive and even has two car/train bodies, round pieces perfect for ferris wheels or merry go rounds, orbs, etc. and tons of windows, ladder pieces and more for kids to create. Honestly the options are endless and kids of all ages spend hours upon hours playing with these. So if you're going to get even one set of building toys, pass up on the four letter mega giant, and spend you money on Connetix, you won't regret it, and these don't hurt like crazy when you step on them in the middle of the night like the others, lol.

This is the Motherlode of magnetic tiles sets! It is indeed a set of rainbow colored tiles that are compatible with the 10 other sets I have from various other companies. When the light hits these they are just stunning.Magnetic tiles are by far the most played with toy that our grandkids ( ages 6 and 2 1/2) use at our house. They spend HOURS at our house and their own house making all kinds of creative things…. Houses, garages, jails, hidden compartments, race tracks with swimming pools, houses for dinosaurs, ramps, space ships, shipping containers for matchbox cars, ball runs, doll beds, dog house, and the list goes on. Believe me, these will be one of the most used toys at your house too. Well worth the money for the time spent and kids LOVE to have grownups join in the fun, so it can be very interactive also. For some of the masterpieces, our kiddos cant bear to take them apart so we have a picture gallery of all the creations. Then we disassemble them after the kids leave.The quantity here was the big draw for me. I love that they include some larger pieces like the 6 inch by 6 inch squares and large hexagons. Those can be hard to find in other sets. These are strong, the colors are striking, they are compatible with other sets from different companies and you can add other Connetix sets to this one. There is no downside to this set.I was disappointed that the set I received had ripped packaging that had been taped together. However the inside was factory packed and brand new. I am surprisingly influenced by the presentation of a toy, but honestly these are most likely going to be put into a large plastic bin. So many different shapes to play with! An inspiration booklet is included with lots of ideas, but our kiddos for the most part just build with their immaginations.You cant go wrong here, just put it in your cart. Yes, it is pricey. But for the use this will get it is a win/win.

I have gotten smaller sets of magnetic tiles in the past for my grandkids and they have loved them. When I saw this set, and saw the extra large tiles, I had thought it was a whole bod of the extra large tiles and not just 12 - but that is clearly stated in the description even if the pictures make it seem like a lot more big tiles. The quality of these tiles is top notch, probably the best of the magnetic tiles I have gotten so far. As for the high price tag - you are getting a LOT of tiles (even if only 12 are the big ones) so it is very comparable to getting the smaller sets - they are a similar price per tile.
