Morphy Richards Motive 4 Slice Toaster (black) 242801

I got this toaster to replace a different brand which had served me well for several years, but one side of the 4 slice toaster had stopped working.Having done a lot of research, and not wanting to break the bank, I decided on this one from Morphy Richards. I have a lot of their products and they have always been very reliable.I got the chalk colour, and it looks very smart indeed in our kitchen. It is slightly smaller than my previous toaster so that is a bonus. The toast browns evenly on both sides (I set it between 4 and 5 and that is perfect for us). It also has a lifter feature which means that you just push the handle up when the toast pops up and you can lift it out without burning your fingers. The crumb trays are easy to slide out and the crumbs just shake into the bin. You do have to push the handle down firmly to lock it when you are using the toaster, but that it not a problem.I have tried it with crumpets and English muffins and everything comes out well toasted.There is even a defrost button so you don't need to defrost anything in the microwave before you toast it.Perfect!

Bought this to replace our old toaster that finally died. Great replacement, looks good, works well, especially like the blue lights when in use!

Nice looking toaster, bought to match kettle and microwave. Toasts well enough, however bread does not fit particularly well so top half doesn't toast. I've turned bread sideways and squeezed it in, which does work, but not great if it were to get stuck. Seems most toasters are the same but it does the job.

got to replace broken one and match my kettle , works well heats up fast toast in no time and has various settings all explained in the manual easy to follow easy to clean with a slide out crumb tray and looks good as well

A good replacement for our old and tired toaster. Works well and is reasonably priced.

Well, it's a toaster; this one gives bread a light tan - enough to make the spread melt.Looking at the elements during use, the centre element in each side (think of it as two toasters built side by side), is much dimmer than the outer ones - but the outer sides of toast come out less brown (centre gets hotter despite the lower glow of the centre elements?)As usual, the slots are too shallow for your standard white sliced (made to be toasted, why else?) So cut two slices in half and use all four slots (which also allows toasting of two teacakes at a time)?The two sides work independently, so when one side fails it won't be a complete chuck out (my last - two slot - failed and being impossible to open and with no spares available had to be chucked).And when will we get decent (aesthetic) design? They are not exactly beautiful; at least "chalk white" is not too glossy.

The toaster does what you expect. It light in weight and takes its time to toast to full brown . There are 3 settings but I do not see the difference they makeIt's easy cleaned .
