This is my new favorite Bruce Spizer book, which is saying a lot. The (huge) selection of photos is terrific, and the write-ups are really interesting & informative.

After being a massive fan of Bruce Spizer's groundbreaking books for so many years now, I'm starting to sound like a broken record in my reviews. But I literally have no choice! All of his books are completely top notch and go over the top in presenting the details and fantastic historical perspectives with the subject matter he chooses to take on. This is the latest in his series of his fantastic "Beatles Album" books with each detailing and discussing just about every aspect one could think of regarding the Beatles stellar LP catalog. If you haven't picked up all the others, you really should as he has released all but a couple titles now. When his last two books in the series comes out (A HARD DAY'S NIGHT in 2024 and BEATLES FOR SALE to HELP! in 2025.) they will round out the set completely. Every library should have the series. His latest offering is a fun and comprehensive visit with the Beatles first and second albums respectively. As usual, Bruce covers all the bases on each from the original recording information, the chart performance as well as cultural impact of both LPs. And so much more! All with incredible quality images throughout. As with all of his album series books, he includes the sections where many fans recollect their memories and excitement of getting the albums back when they originally came out! It's just plain fun to read and relate! He also has his usual panel of experts chime in with worthwhile bonus articles as well. Anyway, nobody likes really long reviews so suffice it to say, you will be glad you got this latest offering and all the others in the series!

Received my copy today. Book is missing pages 1-16. Pages 241-264 are in their place. Those pages are repeated in their proper place at the end. Own multiple Spizer books. First time problem.

As is the case with all of Bruce Spizer’s Beatles books, the latest, The Beatles Please Please Me to With The Beatles, is excellent. This book is part of Spizer’s Album Series. The Album Series adds to his very informative Original Series of books by putting the Beatles’ albums within the context of the time they were released. The book includes discussion and illustrations of news, movies and other records of the time. It also includes different perspectives on the Beatles albums, including those of the Beatles’ fans. And of course, details on the two albums the book is about, different versions released in America and Canada, related singles, and the recording sessions are here too. The book is illustrated throughout with pictures of album covers, singles, picture sleeves, record labels, movie posters, newspaper clippings, promotional materials, and more. I am a long-time Beatles fan and collector, and Bruce Spizer’s books are an important part of my collection. I highly recommend this and all of his books. Michael Rinella

For Beatles fans, music lovers, even historians! Bruce Spizer and coll. really give us tons of information on the Beatles and was happening around them.

Like how the author has I terwoven the books. If you can get them at a de cent price. Very well written bought for m.y grandaughter.
