A great read for its main target audience... children. But also a really nice, light but informative read for adults too. This series of books has some very high quality illustrations.This ebook is a 'scanned' or pdf-like print.... I don't know exactly what the process is, but I do prefer this, as it maintains the layout, graphics and text as they are in the original printed book. The only downside is slightly blurry text when zoomed in... I wish they had a way to provide sharper text.

Great illustrations, good coverage. A very good quality book. Aimed at older than my grandson’s age (8) but great to sit with him and read together, or just let him browse the pictures. It will remain useful through several years. At 73, I find the coverage interesting and informative, the book doesn’t talk down to you.

This is a wonderful book which covers a breadth of science in an easy to understand way making it easy to understand for the less well educated or youngsters, yet satisfying to learn new fascinating facts for the more learned.

The book is lovely and a welcome birthday gift for a child who loves science. Illustrations are stunning. Bought from Amazon and shocked at packaging. I was surprised it survived without damage. It was put in an oversized Amazon box in which it rattled around with no wrapping / other protection - box was crushed in one corner. Book is therefore pretty robust!!

It's a fantastic book covering different aspects of science basics. The cover and pages are of excellent quality and the graphics are second to none. My 8 year old son loved it and even I read it along with him...! Would recommend to any child to motivate them towards Science...!

My brother struggles with science so I got him this book to allow him to have that extra bit of knowledge as he now moves up to the next level at school. This is excellent condition and full of facts.

Unlike parents who buy this book for children between 5 and 10 years old (whatever their purpose may be), I purchased it to teach my almost 13-year-old honors A student, and as a scientist myself. This book is a comprehensive introduction to middle school science (and slightly beyond) that covers chemistry, physics, and life sciences (three separate subjects often combined into one by the US school system). It contains many facts that most adults would struggle to answer. The organization of content, and accompanying illustrations are absolutely superlative. Let me emphasize that this is not one of the Nat Geo books that simply list entertaining but irrelevant facts ("did you know that your intestine could stretch from the equator to the north pole?"-type facts). You can actually teach the entire middle school curriculum from this book, covering chemistry, physics, life sciences, and even some earth and space sciences. If one masters everything in this book, they would easily rank in the top 10% of US high school graduates in science. I'm thrilled to have found this book, as I was struggling to supplement my child's inadequate middle school science education in Florida. What a lifesaver!

It is a beautiful book with excellent content and illustrations. My kids love it! The print quality is top notch and the cover page is hard and strong. I highly recommend buying this book for children.

I highly recommend you buy this book, the content is explained in detail with pictures that an 8th grader's Syllabus can be explained to a 5th grader easily! The Hardcover Edition's Page Quality is very good and in its price range, it is best! I bought this book for 800 rs at Freedom Sale. The Company is also very good, not only in this book but all of its books are wonderful! I also have the DK's Webster Dictionary, its words are also well explained with excellent pictures.
