The Examen Journal: Finding God Everyday Paperback – October 1, 2017

A busy person with limited time for personal prayer, I was overjoyed to discover this book! It can be used when and where I want, at the beginning of a day or at the end. Turning easily with the varied circumstances of daily life, the pages of the Examen Journal have been a valuable resource in helping me connect to my authentic spiritual self and in showing me that life’s significance is understood only in proportion to my understanding of what lies within me and beyond me. The Journal has helped me realize that my true strength and greatest source of comfort are a higher power. Ignatian prayer and Mary's thoughtfully put together Examen Journal provide daily opportunity for discovery, recharging, and clarity. I have purchased many spiritual books over the years and this is one of the best. It’s a gem and I highly recommend it.

I am so grateful for the many ways I've been blessed by this book. Anyone could use it. It helps you reflect on your day and see where God is working. So simple; SO impactful! One of the best, spiritually enriching parts of my year so far!

Inhave tried a lot of ways to pray and meditate, but none of them have really resonated with me until I tried this journal. She gives brief explanations of how the journal works, and walks you through the meditation.I have enjoyed the perspective it gives me of my day. It has also helped me zone in on what I really need to pay attention to and work on to grow as a Catholic.I don't use it daily, but she reminds you that life happens, which is why it is undated. This book has been a blessing to me.

Exactly what I had been looking for. It’s simplicity makes its usable and the habit has formed very quickly for me. Highly recommend

I like having a single journal that prompts me do the examen and record my thoughts. My disappointment was that there is none of the creator's beautiful artwork in it. I guess I just sort of assumed from looking at her website that this journal would contain some of that. That said, I would still buy it again and I'll recommend it for people who need prompts to be faithful to spiritual disciplines like the examen.Some feedback for the creator:- next version, add some of your beautiful artwork! Or, if color makes it too expensive, some pages or doodles for the user to color would be great.- switch up the opening prayer and maybe even some of the wording of the prompts to keep things from getting stale.

I have to admit and say that I returned this. It was an impulse buy. But from looking through the pages of it I fell in love and wished that I had to money to keep it and use it. It was a great read, so reflective and structured to help someone really look back on their day and see where was God present. Very thankful for authors like this.

Love this journal. The concept is so simple, but it directs me to think through all of these things during prayer everyday to have a more meaningful prayer life. Worth the money, and will last you a whole year!

I bought 2 of these, one for my friend and I. We went on an Ignation Retreat and I thought this would be great. Sadly, they are going back.

Love this book! Really helps to focus my thoughts at the end of the day. It's great that it lasts for a whole year too. My husband has the manly version and we love that we can both use this in the same way
