It got the job done.
Never replaced a brake cable before, but the kit had everything I needed with parts to spare. If the other cable snaps, I'll be ready!

Awesome value for price.
I was rebuilding a Schwinn Super Sport that hadn't been touched since 1974. The cables and cable housings were functional but looked ancient and the cable ends were frayed and rusted. This kit comes with twice the number of cables any one bike needs. There was enough cable housing to make both brake runs and both derailleur runs with plenty to spare. The supplied cable housing end caps made for a professional look, but the 50 year old cable stays or whatever they're called were a tad too tight to allow the cap ends to slide into them. I ended up just using the raw cable housing without the end caps and it worked fine. The crimp end caps for the cables are great. Easy to crimp with simple pliers and a ton of them came with the kit. As others have mentioned, the cable cutter tool is the best I've ever had. Clean cuts. No bending or kinking of the cable. As is usually the case, you'll need to "round out" the cut end of the cable housing with small pliers to reshape the housing end to its original round shape. There was only one time the cut end of the housing was crushed in a manner that required a second cut. You can avoid this issue by using old cable running through the housing and then cutting both at the same time, but it wasn't really necessary with this tool. Lastly, the cable end pieces were different than the 1974 brake and derailleur cable ends. They were still functional, but didn't "nest" in the original brake and shift levers as neatly as the old ones did.

Mostly good
The cable/housing cutters cut cleanly and seem well made and sturdy. The housing seems ok, def not premium (ie Jagwire). I had enough housing to do my non-internally routed road bike, with a little to spare. Heads up the brake cables are for MTB/BMX and not road bike, which is what I needed. YMMV. Overall I recommend.

Work as advertised...
It's good to get spare cables, you just never do know. Malicious people may cut your cables just for the heck of it.

Great kit
All cable parts included, cutting tool is really good. Though you still a pick to round out the cut made with the cable cutter

Good value
Excellent value, Bulb on brake cable was too large, but easy to file to the proper shape. Shifter cable is 78 inches, brand cable 70 inches - both long enough for any bike. These measurements should be in the specs.

Exactly as described...try it
Had everything I needed to replace both brake and both shifter cables. The cutters cut cable like butter..was little worried, but after using...very pleased.

Convenient - OK value - better storage for the small parts would be appreciated
Overall, a good purchase without the need to select a half-dozen individual items from Amazon's massive (and often confusing) inventory. The set is currently 20 USD. The cable cutters appear identical to the Muzata listing that generally costs 7.50 USD. So, the set offers good value but is not outstanding in that regard. The cutter works a lot better than diagonal pliers. I tried cutting off an inch from a cable. The cut was easy and completely clean. My only complaint is that the entire kit arrives stuffed into a zip lock bag that is barely large enough to hold all the items. It isn't easy to get everything back in the bag.
