Chef Knife

Nice handle

We travel fulltime internationally and this is a knife that travels with us. Love it!

Full disclosure- I bought the knife for the box as I am gifting one of my wusthof chefs knives to my son.The knife itself isn't horrible. It's full tang which is a requirement for any knife I buy for saftey reasons. It came sharp enough to cut paper and I did try it on a tomato, which cut well enough to make a salad but it's not going to give you paper thin slices like a shabizi chineese chefs cleaver would. A few minutes on a whetstone would put a nice edge on it but I don't know if it would hold it. This is a decent backup knife. The kind you put in a camper or in a drawer for moments when you need a knife but don't have or don't want to risk a quality knife.Just to note: knives rusting is mostly user error. all knives should be hand washed, dried with a towel and left to fully air dry before placing them in thier final place. If that's a knife Block putting damp or wet knives in it creates the perfect spot for moisture to sit against the blade for extended periods.

To me it is balanced and easy to hold. I like the handle. I like the heavy feel of this knife. Very sharp from factory. I recommend a sheath to cover blade...

I found the knife to be too heavy and not quite balanced correctly. The end result is I can't control the knife as well as some even less expensive knives and my wrist gets tired.What it seems to do best is power through meats - but don't expect to be able to do thin slices. The knife is too thick, too heavy, and too hard to control. It is sharp. It will slice. Butchering is probably what it does best.

Even after using the supplied sharpener… this knife is very dull. You get what you pay for.

Got this knife for my Christmas cooking. I love how sharp it is and that it comes with a sharpener. The handle fits nicely to my hand. The material is very decent to what it’s worth.
