Everything as expected, Excellent choice, great purchase.

Received the book in very good time, unfortunately however on arrival, the front cover was slightly damaged. There is a permanent crease on the bottom right corner, and the long edge of the front cover had bits of glue stuck to it (the kind which you can peel off) so I'm not sure what that was about?Other than that though, I am happy with the product, and obviously, Barber is always a great read and the king when it comes to Templar scholarship in the English speaking world.

If you want the truth about who the Knights Templar were, I thoroughly recommend this particular book. Forget the fanciful pulp rubbish that some have published, as well as the speculations that really do not honour the memory of who the Templars really were, this is the best read and Malcolm Barber's book about their false trials, "The Trial of the Templars".All Holy Templar Martyrs pray for us !

Relying solely on reliable sources and scientifically sober methods, Barber keeps his promise and tells the history - not the post-mystified story - of the Knights Templar.This work gives a clear overview of this age of history for new readers of the subject and provides readers with more background knowledge with new details and enterpretations.Barber never goes to far in trying to influence the reader with farfetched theories (as do Baigent, Leigh and Lincoln), but he lets the reader decide for him- og herself the more delicate conclusions.

This could be an excellent book but I will never know, the print is absolutely tiny and I will not be using a magnefiying glass. I’ve shown this book to several other people and all agree that there is no way they could read this book without straining their eyes. Pity as I was really looking forward to reading about this interesting period of history. Now I will return this book.
