Good little truck for the price.
This is as much a partially built model as it is an RC toy. Comes with a bunch of little detail parts like the roof rack, door handles, snorkel, etc that you're expected to put on yourself. Which I found fun, but others might find annoying. Assembly was pretty easy. The controls ARE incremental, it's not the lame all forward/backward, hard left or right controls you might find in a cheaper unit. RF range is about 150 ft. After that it stops responding reliably. It's not super fast, rather, tuned for its specific role as a true off-road 4wd RC truck. Surprisingly detailed, including the drive train which has long arm suspension with coils, dual drive shafts from the central motor, and a ton of little aesthetic details. Battery life is entirely adequate, with the pack being charged by a proprietary USB cable. Dont lose that. The battery goes under the hood, which I found apt, but it's loose, so you might prefer to use a bit of velcro. The controller takes a pair of double A batteries, and the compartment is in the handle and must be unscrewed using the tiny screwdriver it comes with. I was able to bang around with it at top speed and flip it over without damage, but I can see the small parts perhaps coming off with continued usage, so you might wish to use a dab of glue for each. They stay on fine without. Comes with some spare parts. All that said this isn't a precision high performance toy. The turning radius is pretty big, and while the wheels respond incrementally to steer, they're a tiny bit wobbly and dont steer very far. I'm tempted to 3d print some modifications.

I’ll get another!
This little 1/16 scale C-54 truck rips it up. It’s fast, agile, climbs well and goes through rocky puddles I’m the mountains. It keeps me busy on my work breaks. I put some other tires on it and it’s even better now!

Great if you’re not too rough
Easy to assemble, easy to play with. I took it all apart, gave it a quick sand and hit it with some rattle cans and paint thinner for a fun rusty/muddy looking paint job. It was fairly easy to put back together. I’ve taken it outside and played with it in the backyard, built a little obstacle course indoors for it. It can take a beating but I wouldn’t give it to my kid, you can kind of tell it’ll break with crazy abuse a kid would put it through. Battery life is decent, remote function was easy enough to get working.

Steering didn’t work
Box was heavily damaged when it arrived. When I charged the battery the steering immediately never worked. Spent all day trying to get the steering to work and something seems to be faulty. Would not recommend :(

Lots of funs!
Got this for my son's birthday, and he's absolutely thrilled with it! The speed it offers is surprisingly decent for a brushed motor, handling hills and straight runs with ease. It's an unbeatable deal for the price, making it a perfect entry-level car for kids looking to dive into the hobby. While the shocks could be better since they're not oil-filled, they do the job well on smoother terrain.

Broken U-Joints After 2 Hours
It runs fine out of the box but U-joints on both front and rear driveshafts failed after less than 2 hours of run time. My son was very upset because he was having a blast up until then. I bought upgraded metal driveshafts and they did the job until the rear axle pinion shaft snapped an hour after that. Running again for the moment… Advice: spend more and get a legit RC crawler unless you like repairing tiny vehicles. I’ve added another $30 in parts to this truck’s $80 purchase price and that will buy you a nicer rig. Live and learn.

Going on a bear hunt
Can’t go over it, can’t go under it, we’ll have to go through it. And this truck does. More power than I would have expected. It’s able to go through mowed grass and being 4-wheel drive it climbs well. Descent run time on the battery. Some assembly required. Mostly went together well, but tabs on the snorkel kept bending. Needed to cut a taper on the end of the tabs to get them to fit into the holes. Tires come off the wheels and as result need to be glued in place. Not a big job, It would’ve been nice if this was done by the manufacturer. Still, would buy again.
