Found the ONE
This is great. I searched and searched and finally found this. Everything I found looked cheap or looked like a shepherds hook and I didn’t think it would fit our look. My husband wanted something that was overhead, hated how close it looked before (picture #2) Installed easy and quickly. I highly recommend. Now our shower head is 7’.

You NEED this if you've bought a huge showerhead!
I love a giant rainfall showerhead and I've finally found the one that will stay in our bathroom forever*.See my other reviews to see which one I settled on.I did have a similar, but much smaller gooseneck pipe installed, but it ended at the same height as it started (hope that makes sense!) and this showerhead hangs down about 4" below the end of the pipe. That put the bottom of the showerhead at a height we had to crouch to get under... no fun. This one "ends" at least 4 or 5 inches higher than it starts, so this showerhead fits over us beautifully.I've also installed a diverter and a coupling in line with this shower arm, which pushes the showerhead nicely into the middle of the shower stall... which is exactly where we want it.The pipe feels solid and the threads were nicely machined so that the whole setup is very sturdy. Of course there is the worry whether the threads will be tight when you twist it on and get it perfectly upright. Initially it went a little past vertical but would NOT make it another time around, so I took it off and added more Teflon tape to the threads. This time it got very hard to turn just as it was approaching vertical, and it locked in to vertical when I pushed a little harder. So far - months later - it has not tried to move at all.Recommended.*forever or until my wife decides she wants something else.

fixes a low shower head w good style
I needed an extender pipe from the mixing valve stack behind the tile to the new neck. It's called a "nipple" and comes in various lengths at HD. If you enjoy DIY go for it.
